In the early 1980s, a parent support group, McDonald's Owner/Operators and a small team of dedicated volunteers set out to build a Ronald McDonald House in Milwaukee. Previously, families had no place to stay while their seriously ill or injured children were being treated at Children's Wisconsin and other area hospitals. The outpouring of support to build our House was remarkable, so much so that when we opened on October 3, 1984, we called it "The House that Love Built."

Join us as we Light the Hoan, celebrating our 40th anniversary and the nearly 55,000 families we've served. Enjoy an intimate viewing experience, light appetizers and a champagne toast as we honor our past and look forward to our future of keeping families together when they need it most.

Registration is closed. Please contact Melissa at [email protected] for availability.

Cheers to 40 years!

We're lighting the Hoan! Make a donation now and help us light up the room with a special light-up acrylic rocks glass (while quantities last). Your commemorative gift will be waiting for you at The Cooperage and your generosity will directly impact the families calling our House "home."
