The Walden Project - NY Scholarship Fundraiser

Help us raise $3,000 for Walden scholarship funds by June 30th, 2024!

The Walden Project - NY is a year-long educational program located in Naples, NY where students ages 14-19 can earn college credit while having a one-of-a-kind experience in the unique outdoor setting of RMSC Cumming Nature Center.

For the past 6 years, The Walden Project - New York has provided this innovative educational opportunity to students from a wide range of backgrounds. Some of our students are seeking a deeper learning experience than what regular school can offer; others struggle in a traditional school setting and are looking for an alternative. Many of our students need financial aid to be able to attend our program, and, thanks to the generosity of our community, each year we are able to provide scholarships to make this program possible for families from many different socioeconomic backgrounds.

Walden has a history of making a difference in the lives of young people. In talking about our program, parents have said:

Each year, we rely heavily on community support to keep our program accessible through scholarships. In the coming school year, more than half of the students who have applied to our program have stated that they will only be able to attend if they receive financial aid. 

A donation to this fundraiser helps to ensure that this innovative program can continue to thrive in this region, providing a one-of-a-kind educational experience for teenagers of all backgrounds to deeply connect with the natural world and their communities.

Our goal is to raise $3,000 for scholarships by June 30th. All of these funds will provide financial aid to low-income families who would like to participate in this educational program. Thank you for helping us hit this goal!
