HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN PETE'S MOUTAIN
Do you love to hike? Do you like going on walks? Want to make your steps count? With Pete's Mountain, you can!
Once you REGISTER, there are two ways to participate. Here they are:
- Join us in person as we summit Griffith Peak and Mount Charleston*. Mount Charleston is the tallest peak in Clark County (and the 8th tallest in the state of Nevada). This is challenging hike, but this cause will be our inspiration to get to the top.
- Can't join us in Nevada (or not sure you're ready to climb a mountain)? Join us virtually throughout the weekend from August 16 - August 18. Walk around your neighborhood, go on a hike near you, or even hop on a treadmill at the gym.
Either way you choose to participate, track your steps and mileage, and get pledges to support the NF community!
*Hiking to the top of Mount Charleston is challenging and requires that you are in shape. Over the 19 miles, we will summit two peaks, climb vertically 6,000 ft and walk more than 46,000 steps. If there are enough people interested in a shorter hike on the mountain, we will choose a guide for that hike.

ABOUT PETE'S MOUNTAIN
Peter Saide was a dear friend who had a HUGE heart. He had a beautiful voice, an infectious laugh and a love of spoken word. Among the many things we loved about Peter...he was also always the first to raise his hand when it came to the NF Hope Concerts. It was his way to help, his "Princess", Emma, our daughter, the girl who inspired the NF Hope Concerts.
Peter also loved to hike, and while he lived in Vegas, he spent much of hisfree time disappearing on Mt. Charleston with his dog, Gunnar. The mountain was his home away from home.
In 2020, we lost Peter. We miss him every day, but his kindness and his spirit remain with us. After COVID, I planned a hike to the top of his favorite mountain to honor and remember him. At the last minute, I made it a fundraiser for NF, the cause that Peter was always happy to help with.
After the hike, Pete's mom suggested we make it an annual event...so Pete's Mountain was born.
We look forward to celebrating Peter's legacy while continuing to help NF families.
Thank you!
