December 8th Glass Workshops, Open House, and Glass Sale
Salem Community College welcomes the public to the Samuel H. Jones Glass Education Center on Sunday, December 8th for an afternoon of glass.
The SCC Glass Club's December sale will feature handmade glass including ornaments, flowers, jewelry, vases and paperweights from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission to the Glass Education Center and the sale is free. While visiting the center, guests may check out SCC's incredible glass studio, view our glass collections, and see glassmaking in action!
Also on December 8th, the glass center will be running several hands on workshops. No glass experience is necessary, but please note minimum age requirements. Additional workshop information is listed below.

Hands on Glass Experiences!
Available Workshops:
Fused Glass Holiday/Winter Ornament*, 1.5 hour session from 12:30pm-2:00pm, or 2:30pm-4:00pm, $40.00 per person- Participants will create their own beautiful fused glass ornament to display on their tree or in a window by layering pieces of flat glass and enamels and heating them in a kiln. Ages 4 and up. Under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Flameworked Glass Icicle Ornaments, 3 hour session from 1pm-4pm, $60.00 per person- Spend a full three hours in our flameworking studio using glass, heat, gravity and simple tools to create your very own glass icicles at the torch! These beautiful glass icicles can be used as ornaments and jewelry! Each participant will have enough time to create multiple glass icicles. Ages 10 and up. Under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Blown Glass Ornament*, 1.5 hour sessions between 12:00pm-1:30pm, or 2:30pm-4pm, $60.00- Participants will create a beautiful blown glass ornament from the furnace in our glassblowing studio! Ages 14 and up. Under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
(*Due to the process, items will need to be picked up at a later date, or can be shipped for an additional fee.)

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made one-week prior to event are subject to a $15 cancellation fee per ticket. Cancellations made 48 hours prior to the workshop will be refunded half the registration fee per ticket. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice are non-refundable.
