FAME: Feast at MaKen Events, I Street, Philadelphia, PA, USA
Tickets & Sponsorships
We all felt the pain of October 7th and the surge of anti-semitism that followed. Many of us have already found ways to support Israel, while others feel the need to give back to our Jewish communities at home but aren't sure where to start.
With that in mind, we are hosting a community event on October 7th-an evening dedicated to prayer, sharing a meal with our local community (including both Jews and non-Jews), and lighting candles in memory of those who lost their lives and in support of their families. Together, we will celebrate Jewish traditions through love, light, art, music, family, friends, and food. The evening will feature a musical performance by Matisyahu and inspiring speeches from Michael Rapaport, Montana Tucker, and Shabbos Kestenbaum.
Sheva is more than just a community dinner; it's a celebration of the enduring spirit of those who have faced the darkest chapters in modern Jewish history, standing firmly against anti-Semitism in America and around the world.
The Torah describes the Jewish people as a light in the darkness, and on October 7th, we will come together to embody that light-bringing love and strength when it is needed most. Anti-Semitism and hatred toward Jews will not defeat us, not today, not ever.

Sheva is set to take place on October 7, 2024, with the vision of becoming an annual tradition. Each year, we will direct our fundraising efforts to the areas of greatest need within the Jewish community. For our inaugural event, we have chosen to focus on supporting the next generation. Jews aged 18-25 are facing a war on multiple fronts-from college campuses in Philadelphia to the battlefields of Israel-and they are on the frontlines.
Our aim is to equip these groups with the essential support they need. With your help, we will contribute to the Israeli Defense Force Emergency Fund, enabling them to provide assistance to soldiers, ranging from physical resources to mental health services. In Philadelphia, we will strengthen local Hillel groups by enhancing educational services, empowering students with knowledge to stand against anti-Semitism.
To make this event possible, Sheva has partnered with The Relief Foundation, Inc. as our Fiscal Sponsor.
