The Bear Affair is a one-of-a-kind event with great food and drink,
live and silent auctions, amazing prizes, and special guests - which provides
critical support and funding for our children, our city, and our mission.

At the Philadelphia Children's Alliance, we serve over 2000 children and their families each year who have been affected by sexual abuse at no cost to them. We are the only facility of its kind in Philadelphia, and we work in collaboration with our partners in law enforcement, social services, and medical and mental health services.

The Meaning of The Bear Affair.

We call this event the Bear Affair to honor a child's first visit to PCA and the
first big step in their healing journey. Every child who comes through PCA receives a brand new stuffed animal to bring them comfort and joy during a difficult time. We call this event the Bear Affair to honor these children and the first step in their healing journey.

Bear Affair guests are invited to bring a new stuffed animal to the event, which will end up in the arms of a survivor.
