2 Beanies by LAOLAO STUDIOS
$175Pair of Cashmere Beanies handmade by Grandmother Artisans of LAOLAO STUDIOS
In benefit of HWISPA-NY
Fair Market Value: $378.00 ($189.00 per beanie)
Starting Bid: $175.00 (two for less than the price of one)
About the Brand
In Mandarin, laolao is an affectionate term for maternal grandmothers--and our story begins with my mother (my two children's loving laolao).
Separated from her first newborn grandchild by the isolated state of the world in 2020, she used her lifelong love of knitting to bind the family together. Her pieces were woven with the shared history of the other grandmothers in her knitting circle, as they taught each other new techniques, bonding over this meticulous craft and the joy it brought to their loved ones.
We created LAOLAO STUDIOS to share this joy; to bring the warmth and tenderness these pieces carry far and wide, and to support the grandmother artisans in our ancestral city. With every stitch, we communicate the essence of family bonds, weaving together feelings of love to ensure these heirlooms are forever cherished and, eventually, passed on.
xoxo, Chloe

Lunar Brass Leaves | handmade Polymer Clay Earrings

About the Designer
Filthy Mari Atelier, an AAPI woman-owned small business, came to life during the pandemic in the founder's NYC kitchen. Marisa's usual work as an event contractor disappeared during lockdown and one day, after almost a year of trying to find her way, she decided to get curious and have fun. She invested in some supplies and let her creative and artistic side run wild, and as a girl whose time spent with Play-Doh, it's really paying off. She's so grateful to have found something to help her work through through anxieties. Now she has the space to make the things she loves that hopefully you will, too. Always made with love, care and attention to detail and thankfully now in a proper work area, she has since moved into the corner of her bedroom, where she made a corner office. This shop is eco-friendly, uses recyclable/reusable packaging, is minimum waste and donates a portion of proceeds to charity.

About the Empire
New York Empire Baseball was founded in 2009 with the purpose of enhancing the youth sports experience in New York City. Since then, New York Empire Baseball's programs have been featured both in local media as well as in the Wall Street Journal and on NBC News, the Wall Street Journal, and ESPN Radio.
Youth sports should be organized to develop the academic, athletic and social skills of tomorrow's leaders on- and off-the-field. Through years of experience, the founders saw that this type of development was taking a back seat to profits, unfriendly competition through a win-at-all-costs attitude, and even some vicarious parental involvement. Don't get us wrong - New York Empire Baseball believes that competition and development aren't mutually exclusive - in fact, we believe they go hand in hand - friendly competition brings out the best in all of us. We have been coaching children ages 3 - 17 for the last 10 years, and we treat all of them with the respect they deserve. We strive to provide each child we encounter with the tools they need to succeed on- and off-the-field, today and tomorrow. Children are coached not by parents, but by exceptional coaches - educated and mature role models who have seen their share of on- and off-the-field successes and failures, and have learned to grow and teach from their experiences.
After being a part of New York Empire Baseball, our players are noted by their parents, other teams, and even the other teams' parents for their maturity, teamwork and for their ability to make smart decisions in tough situations - all in addition to their ability to run, throw, hit and field. In addition to training and developing some of the finest baseball players in New York, we also teach life lessons through baseball.

About the Menu
Michelin Review awarded Clover Hill its first star and noted restaurants five times as large wish they could do what Clover Hill does from its postage-stamp of a kitchen. On a quiet, residential street in Brooklyn Heights, the talented Chef Charlie Mitchell cooks with irresistible suaveness and confidence, making the most out of top-rate ingredients, delicious sauces and thoughtful combinations. From Long Island fluke ceviche jolted with lime zest and sweet melon to Peekytoe crab salad wrapped in corn gelee and set in a pool of warm, silky corn veloute, expect to find vibrant, seasonal eating that never once feels fussy or onerous. Under a watchful vintage mirror that hangs above the bar, the charming bistro setting, lit with flickering candles, oozes romance.
About the Restaurant
Located on a leafy, cobblestone block in the heart of the Brooklyn Heights Historic District, Clover Hill is an intimate, 20-seat restaurant by its three partners Clay Castillo, Gabriel Merino and Executive Chef Charlie Mitchell.

About the Tasting Menu
Mari offers an imaginative tasting menu inspired by Korean hand rolls. From the preparation of the rice, using a sesame seed and sesame oil base, to the delicately textured gim, the seaweed wrapping each roll, each new aspect of the hand roll reveals the depth of Korean cuisine. The tasting experience begins with the hansang, an amuse-bouche course of tantalizing bites, followed by seasonally inspired hand rolls, and concluding with a refreshing two-part dessert.
About the Restaurant
Mari is the second Michelin-starred restaurant from the team that brought Kochi to Hell's Kitchen. Opening its doors late in 2021, Mari, whose name comes from the Korean word for roll, uses the same combination of accessibility and tradition that is the staple of Kochi. Using hand rolls as a central theme, Mari playfully pushes the boundaries of contemporary Korean cuisine.

Nom Wah
$50Your Choice of a Trio of Frozen Dumplings & Sauces
In benefit of HWISPA-NY
Fair Market Value: $100.00
Buy Now: $50.00 (discounted from $75.00)
Choose three (3) pouches of frozen dumplings and sauces for pick-up from their Nolita location!
Goldbelly isn't the only one who loves them; Nom Wah has been featured in Bon Appetit, the New York Times, Eater, Infatuation, Vice, and Thrillist. Zagat declared Nom Wah "Real deal dim sum", Gothamist insists "nowhere else has that vintage NYC flavor," and Conde Nast Traveller said the food is simply "addictive."
Nom Wah's first location was not always about dim sum. The original restaurant opened as a tea parlor and bakery in 1920 at 13-15 Doyers St. Located in what was nicknamed the "Bloody Angle". The nickname stems from street's sharp corner and warring gangs who took advantage of this.
Throughout the second half of the twentieth century, Nom Wah Tea Parlor was first and foremost a bakery. Serving dim sum was a secondary priority. The most beloved specialty were the mooncakes, which caused lines to lead out the door.
Several years after Wilson Tang took over the restaurant from his uncle, Wally, he looked to expand the Nom Wah brand. In March 2015, Nom Wah opened its Philadelphia location at the edge of the city's Chinatown. The menu has some differences: riffs on Chinese-American classics and rotating Cantonese favorites.
Following this initial expansion, Nom Wah opened its first fast-casual dining spot in 2016: Nom Wah Nolita. The second-generation approach at the Nolita shop has also paved the way for the brand's next chapter in frozen dumplings, now available nationwide via Goldbelly.

FIELDTRIP is a community-focused rice bowl shop that celebrates culture through the shared experience of rice.
At FIELDTRIP, our food is influenced by global flavors and techniques used within various cultures. We use heirloom grains with each rice telling a unique story of how it arrived in this country and into your bowl. All rice is freshly milled, unbleached, and not enriched. Using sustainable products is extremely important to us. Our rice bowls are paired with ethically sourced vegetables and proteins creating a flavorful experience that tastes good and is good for you!
