Koloman, has a timeless appeal. A beautiful backlit bar welcomes you before enter the dining room, set with antique mirrors and plush banquettes. Tables with views of the semi-open kitchen are the most in demand. It's old world-meets-new on the menu, where Chef Markus Glocker and his team take French and Viennese classics and render them with modern sophistication. Snapper crudo with spicy citrus is a bright opener before moving on to an intriguing and modern dish of tagliatelle infused with confit fennel and accompanied by smoked brook trout, vermouth and caviar. There is perhaps no better way to end a meal here than with a return to tradition, as in the standout apple strudel with rum raisins and frozen buttermilk.

Barbuto first opened its doors in February 2004 in its original location at Washington & Jane Streets, where it was truly a staple. After reopening in October 2021, the restaurant is well on its way to earning that status again in its new home at 113 Horatio Street at West Street, a mere three hundred steps from the original.
The name means "bearded" in Italian. When developing the concept, Jonathan and his business partner at the time Fabrizio Ferri both sported beards; so did Fabrizio's Irish Wolfhound Gideon, who is immortalized in the logo. It just made sense.
At its heart, Barbuto is a casual restaurant offering Chef Jonathan Waxman's celebrated Californian-Italian cuisine that is simple & seasonal.

Enlisting help from her sharp-witted stepmother, Ibsen's long-lost illegitimate son, a servant girl with a wayward pelvis, and an enigmatic rodent exterminator known as the Rat Wife, Suzannah sets out to preserve her husband's legacy by any means necessary.
Written by and starring the legendary Charles Busch, Ibsen's Ghost tells a tall (and hilarious) tale of the toll a great man's ghost takes on the women at the soul of his work.
