Renata Rodrigues is a Brazilian artist known for her captivating acrylic paintings on wood. From small canvases to large murals and public art, Renata's artistic range knows no bounds. Her art goes beyond visuals; it's a narrative journey, turning client ideas into emotion-evoking masterpieces.
I am Renata Rodrigues and my main inspiration is nature. Ever since I can remember I was interested in paintings of humans and animals together, the anatomy we can see and the many ways a face can change. The bond between us is something that has always fascinated me. As a child, I lived by the Atlantic forest and I had many pets. I remember always having a sense of belonging. They made me feel like I am part of this universe. Portraying these emotions onto canvas makes me happy.
When I paint, I use diluted acrylics, transforming colors as I paint layers upon layers, using delicate glazes to create depth and luminosity, as if I'm meditating. You will find different materials, mixed media and styles in my portfolio. When I am not creating for "myself", I am painting fine art commissions or murals. I absolutely love bringing the client's ideas to life, it is fulfilling and invigorating to my art journey.

Marianela Perez is a Venezuelan visual artist who has developed her practice within painting, photography and sculpture. She is a resident Artist at Arts Warehouse Del Ray FL. She studied Commercial Art at the Endicott College, Beverly Massachusetts and environmental design at the Villasmil de Leon Design lnstitute, in Caracas, graduating as Environmental designer, she continued her painting studies under the guidance of renown Venezuelan artists as well as specialized painting classes and applied techniques to acrylic at the Boca Raton Art School. Her training in photography comes from the Roberto Mata School of photography in Caracas. Her photography became a pivot throughout her work, even supporting the abstract- geometric expression.
She has participate in many group exhibitions in Caracas, Miami, Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, Saratoga, San Francisco, Nueva York, Londres, Madrid. She has shown her work in solo exhibitions, in Miami and Caracas. In 2019 she did a mural wall for the facade of Curator's Voice Art Proyect in Miami. In 2023 she did her solo show "Lemonade Berry" in Mifa (Miami, Florida). In 2022 she presented her solo Show "The Shape of Color" in Miami Dade College Gallery (Hialeha, Florida). In 2020 she had her solo show in The Spanish River Library (Boca Raton Fl). I am a visual artist.
My work has a lot to do with emotions, changes, memory, ruptures, and the interpretation of my environment. I work from the fracture of the form in space and the use of color as an expressive resource. My artistic evolution goes from gestural painting of spots and colors to my digital work, through the integration of photography as a reference to capture images of the everyday, the urban landscape and nature. I draw, paint, photograph, transform. Sometimes an idea leads to an image and other times a new image can emerge that modifies the work. In this process I discover the freedom to express what I propose.

Kelcie McQuaid is a multidisciplinary artist, curator, and founder of ShangriLa Collective. Born and raised in South Florida, her influence can be seen and felt throughout the region's vibrant art scene. McQuaid's curatorial practice focuses on connecting emerging and mid-career artists with a clear creative vision, crafting multimedia exhibitions that explore the human experience. Her artwork challenges emotional and creative boundaries, layering bold illustrative portraits with vibrant abstractions.
Early in her career, McQuaid produced iconic murals and participated in over 80 group exhibitions. Her 2014 solo debut, Universe Expanding, featured over 100 paintings and earned her the title of Best Emerging Artist 2015 from the Broward Palm Beach New Times. As a champion of South Florida's art districts like MASS District and FAT Village, she has worked with cultural entities including Broward County's Cultural Division, NSU Museum of Art, Pompano Beach Cultural Center, Coral Springs Museum of Art, Subculture Group, and ArtServe. McQuaid has curated and facilitated hundreds of art events, educational workshops, public art projects, and exhibitions, helping to launch and sustain the careers of countless emerging artists.
Her accolades include managing the award-winning Open Canvas Project, a massive public art initiative involving over 500 artists and community members, and revitalizing local outreach initiatives for Jerry's Artarama as their Marketing and Outreach Coordinator. She has also served as a Museum Educator at Coral Springs Museum of Art for over six years, teaching a multitude of art techniques and facilitating the museum's annual Empty Walls fundraiser. For the last three years, McQuaid has been a consultant for Pompano Beach Cultural Affairs and Bailey Contemporary Arts' Artist in Residence program, supporting artists in their professional development. She also co-curated and installed the group exhibition for Pub at the Hub last year, and briefly served as the Programming Director for Community Classroom Project and Space of Mind in 2024.
McQuaid received the Artist Support Grant from the Broward County Cultural Division in 2023-2024 to create People Pleaser, a transformative solo exhibition that explored identity, empathy, and the universal desire for acceptance through 107 portraits, immersive installations, video installations, ceramics, textiles, and experimental media.
Most recently, McQuaid was awarded the prestigious Artist Innovation Grant to create Lineage, a multidisciplinary solo exhibition slated to open in July 2025 at Bailey Contemporary Arts in Pompano Beach. This new body of work will explore generational trauma, familial habits, and cultural legacies through bio-art, portraiture, fiber art, kinetic sculptures, and projections, reflecting her commitment to storytelling through innovative, layered media.
McQuaid's paintings embody the interplay of feminine energy, vulnerability, strength, and transformation. Deeply influenced by relationships and personal growth, her process involves revisiting works over time, adding layers of paint, ink, and mixed media to reflect shifting perspectives and evolving narratives. Rochelle Irons is an internationally collected from Florida that was raised in the Islands of the Caribbean and South America. She has been painting since she was a child but found her passion as an abstract artist in 2010 when she found herself overnight trying to raise 2 small boys on her own with many long, quiet nights to fill.
Her work has a strong energetic influence and she expresses her emotions through color, pattern, and texture. Often drawing inspiration and tying in her connection and love of the ocean. She uses a wide range of mixed media to give her work depth. Her biggest challenge as an artist is finding the balance between the side of her that thrives in chaos and the intense need for tranquility and solitude. She believes that her art is an expression of both of these sides, and a driving force within her to find beauty in even the darkness of life.
Her colors are both bright and calming, bringing a sense of energy and harmony to the viewer. Speaking things with color that are sometimes hard to communicate with words, as if it was a language of its own.
Her notable projects include the art design and concept for the waterfront destination restaurant, the TideHouse in Stuart, Florida. Her solo exhibition "Sinking to New Depths" included over 30 original works of art. Her original fluid-art-fish are something exciting and unique. Using fluid art paint, resin and taxidermy fish forms she creates beautiful abstract visions from the ocean. Rochelle has limited edition prints from her original artwork on everything from bikinis and beach bags, to athletic wear and home decor. Her next upcoming project is an entire line of housewares including bespoke pottery. Commissions accepted for custom paintings, sculptures, murals, and fish art.

Juan Plaza has been an artist since 2002 when he created a stick figure known as Dr. Wiggl's PhD (www.doctorwiggls.com) to act as his avatar and messenger for the arts. Juan was selected as artist of the month at the Orlando Museum of Art in July 2004 and has been a constant presence in the Palm Beach artist community for two decades. Juan currently exhibits in a permanent basis at the POSH Art Gallery in Delray Beach, Florida.

On June 12th, 1972, Craig was born into a musical & artistic family in Connecticut.
Being influenced from a young age by his successful artistic mother, great uncles & a grandfather who were big band musicians, Craig's destiny to evolve into an Artist was inevitable.
After graduating from Florida Art Institute, Craig plunged into varied list of artistic endeavors to maintain sanity & relative balance. Craig creates artwork not only for himself but hopes it will stimulate emotions within others…there is no other reason.Craig's resumé extends beyond his current mural and fine art business. It includes national touring stints as a musician, created storyboard art and props for motion pictures, wardrobe, set & character design for TV and production.
For over 20 years Craig has been on the creative team of Fright Nights at South Florida Fairgrounds and for many seasons has held the position of Creative Director. Craig's love is to give back to the art community and consistently hosts artists talks, mentoring sessions and arts education sessions for teens and adults.

Gregory Dirr (b. 1986, Miami FL) is a visual artist living in South Florida. His works have been shown in solo exhibitions in Florida and abroad. His most involved body of work, The Big Book, has been exhibited since 2008 including the most recent show in 2024. He was awarded the Silver Key for Portfolio by The National Scholastic Art and Writing Alliance in 2004 and received his BFA at Ringling College of Art and Design in 2008. While there, he produced many significant pieces winning the Best of Core and Best of Fine Arts awards. His work Flora has been chosen for display at The US Embassy in Hong Kong in 2023.
ARTIST STATEMENT:I use an array of materials and incorporate a variety of elements and processing techniques, while allowing imperfections to arise from experimentation and emotional release. Allowing my hand in multiple steps of fabrication sets apart my artwork with a unique aesthetic. I am intrigued by the organic look that only comes through experimentation. Spots, burns, or chemical reactions I can never achieve with my own hand. I think that there is immense beauty to be found in the uncontrollable.

ARTIST BIO:Liv Cook is a 21-year-old portrait artist and self-taugh't painter based in South Florida. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, she practiced various forms of art throughout her childhood and attended a classical ballet school for 13 years, during which Liv developed an immense appreciation for the utilization of the human body to express ideas beyond verbal articulation. From 2015 to 2018, Liv attended the Pittsburgh Creative and Performing Arts School, where she majored in Visual Arts, furthering her technical skills as an artist and beginning her introduction to art at a professional level.
Her current body of work focuses on large-scale, realistic portraits, typically set against solid backgrounds with additional elements layered on top. She uses acrylics for the primary composition and incorporates materials like glitter and oil paint for added detail and textural variety. She often refers back to her makeup artistry skills to develop ideas for portraits as well as to create makeup looks for the paintings, drawing connections between the 2D and 3D in an effort to compose a universe for her art to inhabit. The initial pieces were self-portraits, forcing Liv to directly address herself both internally and externally. Her process has become a meditative introspection, examining the themes she is naturally attracted to and her ability to express them authentically.
ARTIST STATEMENT:My work focuses on large-scale, realistic portraits painted with acrylics against solid backgrounds. Each portrait starts with a detailed rendering of the face, which I then enhance with layers of makeup, accessories, and textures using glitter, oil paint, and acrylics. These added elements create a contrast with the realism of the face, introducing an abstract quality that reflects individuality, transformation, and self-expression.
Texture is a vital component of my practice. I have begun priming each canvas with a base texture, allowing the tactile qualities of the piece to emerge as I layer on different materials. This variation in texture creates a multi-dimensional experience that can only be fully appreciated in person and is impossible to replicate in the digital realm. There is a physicality to the paintings that demands attention and presence. The texture allows my pieces to occupy space in a room, embodying the unapologetic self-expression I strive to convey. My portraits are not meant to be passive or easily overlooked; they are designed to have a significant physical and conceptual presence.
At the core of my practice is a celebration of individuality and nonconformity. Drawing inspiration from queer expression and the fluidity of gender, I aim to challenge societal norms and redefine beauty. Each portrait reflects my belief that true beauty lies in the freedom to exist authentically, beyond constraints and expectations. I want my audience to see themselves in my work-not as they are told to be, but as they truly are.
Creating these portraits has been a deeply personal journey of self-discovery. With each piece, I find that my art authentically reflects who I am. By embracing the unfiltered expression of my inner world through my art, I have come to appreciate my own beauty, both inside and out. The process of creation has become a form of self-acceptance, and my growing confidence as an artist parallels my increasing sense of self-love.
What began as an intuitive exploration of my creative voice has evolved into a more intentional practice. As I continue to grow, both as an artist and as an individual, each piece reveals more about my journey. Creating these portraits has empowered me to embrace my uniqueness and has allowed me to share that celebration of individuality with others.

Carla Golembe is an award winning painter, hands on illustrator, and teacher. She has received artist residencies from the Hambidge Center in Rabun Gap, GA; Altos de Chavon in the Dominican Republic and Kalani Honua in Hawaii. As an artist in residence in these places she presented her work to the community by giving talks, demonstrations and exhibitions.
As an illustrator Carla works in gouache. She has illustrated nineteen picture books, twelve of which she wrote. Her other illustration work includes greeting cards, book covers, fine art illustration stock images for Artville/Getty Images and Imagezoo, educational and medical projects for children and magazine work. She has received awards for her children's books from the New York Times, Parent's Choice, The American Folklore Society and PMA, the Independent Book Publishers Association as well as others.
We live on an increasingly small planet in dangerous times. The state of our world is impossible to ignore. As humans we straddle the river of our potential with one foot on each bank. Our capacity for love and compassion is equaled by our ability to turn our backs on one another and by the biases and hatreds that people have harbored since the beginning of time. The pandemic has affected us all.
And yet I continue to paint beauty, joy, connection and harmony. More than ever, I have felt the need to put beauty and hope out into the world through my art. My paintings are human and universal, multicultural and cross cultural. My intention is to create a visual haven that encourages viewers to enter my domain, rejoice in color and breathe. The figures emanate wonder and mystery. The work is evocative rather than descriptive. My interest as an artist lies in expressing how something feels rather than what it looks like. As my subject matter expands to include both my inner vision and the outer world. I find myself painting about inclusiveness and caring for the earth. I am painting hope. This is my authentic personal expression and my purpose as a painter. The world of my paintings is not "realism" but perhaps it's "magic realism". It's the reality of what makes my life worth living, what makes us human and what I want to bring into the world.
I didn't choose to be an artist, rather art chose me. Painting is my center, my meditation, my joy, my frustration. It's a dialogue, a dance with the muse. When I fall into creating a painting I often feel like a vehicle for the imagery that comes through me. I'm fascinated by that flow.
My process involves multilayered underpainting, building up rich complex layers of colors, marks and shapes which I balance with my stylized figurative imagery. Some canvases suggest ideas, other pieces come from images I want to explore. I work with the interplay of image and background, under layers and over layers, taking away, adding in. I balance the structure and figures with the spontaneity of creating marks various tools; wine corks, my fingers, bottle caps, stencils and brushes, allowing the backgrounds to evolve around the figures. Sometimes I collage and use textural mediums. In juxtaposing colors, I search for the perfect balance of hues and values that convey vibrant harmony, the perfect balance between intention and intuition.

Tina Wright is a passionate mixed-media artist with a focus on creating with reclaimed materials. A Broward County resident for over 40 years, she currently lives in Coral Springs, Florida, with her rescue pets and domestic partner. Her artistic focus is whimsical, three-dimensional, mixed-media and assemblage artworks inspired by body image, transformation, and healing.
As a member of the Hollywood Craft Mafia (2008-2012) Tina fostered community through creativity. She co-organized craft supply swaps, creative "playshops," and other art related events. Tina also volunteered at Trash2Treasure and Swap-O-Rama-Rama, building connections throughout the creative community.
As co-organizer of the Odd Duck Bazaar art and craft show (2010-2012), Tina spearheaded corporate sponsor acquisition. Her proudest achievement as sponsorship coordinator was negotiating with Whole Foods Plantation as the Naming Rights sponsor.
In 2020, after decades of battling food, weight, and mental health challenges, Tina sought treatment for compulsive eating and binge eating disorder. At 300 pounds, she began eating disorder therapy and joined a 12-step recovery program for compulsive eating. Four years later, she is maintaining 12-step recovery and continually explores her emotions, perceptions, and coping mechanisms through her art.
As a 2024 Broward County Artist Support Grant Awardee, Tina is producing "Wild Inside," her first solo art show, opening in spring of 2025 at ArtServe Ft. Lauderdale. Wild Inside is a free, accessible series of audio, visual, and participatory artistic events, celebrating how perceived differences make us all beautifully individual and imperfectly the same. Wild Inside shines a light on our differences, often our similarities in disguise, encouraging community and individual engagement, guiding the audience toward empathy, compassion, connection, and kindness.
Dedicated to fostering art exploration and spreading creative enthusiasm, Tina has returned to leading artistic playshops. Watching students make connections and create works they are proud of are among her greatest joys. She loves to add an eco-friendly twist to her playshops, screen printing with thrifted fabric and frames and using upcycled tiles for introduction to alcohol ink, for example. Tina hopes her art and honesty about her mental and physical health challenges inspire open discussion around disordered eating, body image, 12-step, and mental health recovery.
I build mixed media assemblage pieces, exploring repurposed materials to encourage conversation on the complex topics of body image, disordered eating, mental health, grief, and twelve-step recovery. The purpose of my art personally is to express my pain and joy and connect to internal and external kindness. The purpose of my art for others is to provide an opportunity for connection, community, and compassionate conversation. My passion is sharing my healing journey through art encouraging everyone to seek and express their deepest feelings through creation.

Manzi Liu is a visual artist, muralist, and live painter based in Pompano Beach, Florida. She began her artistic education studying Art Design at South China Agricultural University before advancing her studies at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-arts in Paris, France. She later completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art-Painting at Florida Atlantic University.
Manzi's artwork has been exhibited in various group and solo exhibitions across Florida, including respected venues such as Bailey Contemporary Arts Center, Hatch 1121 Gallery, and Coral Springs Museum of Art. Her solo exhibition at Bailey Contemporary Arts Center in 2023, titled "The Sign," received the prestigious Broward Cultural Division's Artist Innovation Grant.
Her work has been featured in several publications, including PBS TV Station, WSFL TV, BoldJourney, VoyageMia, and Shoutout Miami Magazine. Additionally, she has been featured on the cover of Pompano! Magazine, Pompano Beach Arts Quarterly, and Coastlines Literary Magazine.
As an artist, Manzi enjoys creating public art and community projects, sharing her passion for art with others. Her public projects, live painting sessions, and educational workshops have allowed her to connect with her community in meaningful ways. Currently, she is working on a project at the Pompano Beach Senior Center, where she is organizing six community activity events and designing sound panels, supported by the Community Foundation of Broward and Cultural Division's Artist Innovation Grant.In addition to her community engagement, Manzi has completed various commissioned projects, including murals for public spaces and local businesses, album cover designs, and paintings for private collections.
Manzi continues to explore new horizons in contemporary art, aiming to inspire and engage with her audience through her creative endeavors.
My journey as a visual artist bridges continents and cultures, weaving together the rich experiences of my time in China, France, and the United States. This diverse background has shaped a distinctive style that fuses varied influences into a cohesive artistic vision.
At the core of my work lies a profound passion for creation. I draw from the vast tapestry of human culture, historical artifacts, and the untouched beauty of nature. These elements are the lifeblood of my artistic process, inspiring each piece I create.My style balances the dreamlike qualities of Surrealism with the raw emotion of Expressionism. Every brushstroke and vibrant splash of color is crafted to evoke feelings, spark thoughts, and invite viewers into a narrative rich with imagery. My art seeks to connect on an emotional level, beyond mere visual appeal.

CHNK is a mixed media artist from South Florida bringing complex illustrations, fresh color and an emotional perspective to deteriorating everyday objects. After his portfolio submission was rejected by Maryland Institute College of Arts, hedecided to dedicate his energy to being the most active and self-improved creative he could be.
CHNK is influenced by graffiti aesthetics, classic comic books, and grotesque imagery and vintage signage. Known for his use of slang and letter manipulations, he was dubbed, CHNK by his father at the age of 11 during a graffiti jam in Fort Lauderdale. His works generally consist of spray paint, acrylic, ink, enamel, gouache, textiles and found objects. She is working on abstract figure paintings and mixed media.She was born in South Korea, and she earned a B.F.A. Fashion Design at Ewha Women University in South Korea in 2006. She attended the Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia, earning her M.F.A. in Painting in 2013. She has been living and working in South Florida for 12 years. She currently works at Arts Warehouse as a residency artist and art instructor at the Old School Creative in Delray Beach.

She is working on abstract figure paintings and mixed media.I am currently working, The "Someone" paintings are part of the Big Child Series. They are characterized by intense colors, and diamond shapes that create abstract figures. It is repetitive, straightforward work, the more you work, the more complex and difficult the task becomes.I have developed a series of portraits, exploring signifiers of human nature. I represent my figures as children's dolls. With exaggerated heads and smaller torsos my figures represent a child-like vulnerability where the feelings of dread, loneliness, and weakness in the familiar/ unfamiliar world are conveyed. The square box shape I use represents home. The figure is centered, anchored, as if trying to root itself into the given frame. Dimensional crystalline shapes, which simultaneously create and break the form, symbolize complex units that both comprise and undermine identity. Color is bold and convincing, resembling that of nationality, yet it doesn't reveal true origin of the figure.
I am a nomad, Korean stranger when in Taiwan, Taiwanese stranger in Korea, and just a stranger in the US. I am interested in identity, inherited, acquired, ascribed.
The most important thing in my work is anguish about my identity. "We (all) are the people" It is my desire and passion for my creation to express that we all have equal values. In the process of seeing and feeling from all surrounding environments, large puzzles are put together one by one, and these experiences are fused and harmonized to be expressed as one work.
As a Taiwanese born in Korea, I moved to southern Florida, USA and lived for 12 years. We encounter strangeness and difference at every moment, but the sunlight, sky and green nature of subtropical culture always give warm inspiration. We hope that this will be compressed and symbolized in cubes in the work and will inspire you as well.

Doom and Bloom began as an abstract exploration into the thought of "a reaper wanting to open a flower shop". A deep desire to change and yet, even with flowers, your love runs from you. Being scary is hard.
The sculptures in this series are made of chicken wire, an indestructible and humble medium. The works on paper are mixed media. Madness, solitude, and desire are expressed with pastels, spray paint, and charcoal.

Stephanie Guterl is an emerging abstract artist who infuses her work with vibrant colors, rich textures and dimensional depth. Although she is a relatively new artist Stephanie's work has already been shown in several exhibitions, including the Boca Raton Art School exhibit, The Boca Raton Art School exhibit at the International Plaza and the Broward Art Guild. At the Broward Art Guild, she was awarded honorable mention for one of her pieces, which was also selected as the cover art for the show's invitation. Stephanie is passionate about using her art to explore the emotional power of color and texture and she continues to evolve her practice as she develops her own distinctive voice within the abstract art community.
My work is an exploration of texture, color, and the boundless possibilities of abstraction. I am captivated by the interplay of vibrant hues and the tactile depth of dimensional surfaces. Each piece I create invites viewers, not to only see, but also to feel the energy and complexity within.
I work with a variety of mediums, including acrylics paints, enamel, resin, inks, acrylic mediums, pigments, fabric and papers. My practice thrives on experimentation as I continuously search for innovative ways to combine the unexpected. By layering materials and techniques I aim to evoke curiosity and encourage a sense of discovery.
For me, art is about breaking boundaries and embracing the unknown. My work is an invitation to step into a world where color and texture, collide, sparking, emotion, and imagination.

Laura Atria-Newitt is a seasoned public art professional, currently serving as the Public Art and Artist in Residence Program Manager for the City of Pompano Beach and as the President of the Florida Association of Public Art Professionals. With over thirteen years in public art administration, she has a successful track record in developing and implementing art programs and serving on various boards and panels, including the Broward Cultural Council. She holds dual degrees in Studio Art and Art History from FAU. Her expertise has been key in creating Public Art Master Plans, securing grants, and earning accolades, including a one million-dollar Bloomberg Philanthropies Grant.
Laura Atria is a professional artist whose work often focuses on voyeurism, the female, self-healing, and self-definition. She often creates personified characters in her paintings as a way to document her desire to process past traumas and better understand the world.
This series, "Let's Have a Picnic: How to Entertain Like a Lady," Atria illustrates a comical depiction of aspects our society tends to put negative conversations towards: women's rights and the LGBTIQA+ community. Often, these social constructs are portrayed negatively. This Broward County Cultural Division Grant-funded series explores societal constructs that are presented to the viewer in a playful and whimsical light. Politely poking at the patriarchy, the series connects art with politics and human rights with an artistic and humorous perspective on serious topics.
Gender has been in many ways socially constructed. Both the male and female genders have been expected to play specific roles: woman- mother, domesticated, submissive, modest, soft, obedient; man- strength, power, unemotional, head of the household, worker. Humans are so much more than the gender-specific roles that have been bestowed upon them. Being a human is more than biological. It goes well beyond critically looking at gender as a social construct.
We live in a society where human beings are being stripped of their rights. It is extremely important to create safe spaces for everyone to exist, connect, rejoice, and grow especially in the face of censorship and cancel culture. Florida in particular, has extremely harsh laws pertaining to LGBTIQA+ rights with the "Don't Say Gay" law. In recent years, female reproductive rights, basic human rights for a woman, have been stripped away through the overturning of Roe vs. Wade. These laws violate humanity because of a person's gender expression and sexuality.
This series is an exploratory commentary, bringing humor to the homophobic and anti-woman. Laughing at adversaries helps generate the ability to heal. Up until very recently the female and LGBTIQA+ points of view have largely been ignored. There is fear and shame around abortions and being LGBTIQA+. This series strives to bring attention to this stigma while mocking its challengers.
"Let's Have a Picnic: How to Entertain like a Lady" is a parody, mocking the system and creating a playful scene filled with subtle, and sometimes not so subtle, references to sexuality. This series is about reproductive and LGBTIQA+ rights, both of which are about the right to own your own body. The viewer may not have gone through these types of discrimination, but there must be a shared understanding that human safety and acceptance are universal.

ARTIST BIO: Arive is considered one of the forefathers of Miami graffiti style and culture. Growing up in the Wynwood area, long before the galleries and boutiques came along, he first began to tag walls in the early 80's, directly inspired by his older cousin. From there he went on to become one of the most technically advanced graffiti artists of the era and would inspire many that came after. Arive thrives on the opportunity to blur the art lines by pushing and skillfully combining a vast array of all art theories, styles and mediums . He feels no one form of art takes a hierarchy over another and they can all be encompassed to form new colorful compositions to depart from what he considers classic. Progress and quality in art is what he values most, this is evidently seen in his old works til this present time.. Today he rolls with Miami's MSG Crew, and continues to teach and learn.
