Step into the enchanting world of vintage French advertisements with a Cachou Lajaunie poster designed by talented artist Francisco Tomagno who earlier designed the famous "Pierrot" image for Cointreau.

At the heart of Tomagno's 1905 composition, a captivating Victorian woman takes center stage, delicately holding a coveted tin of Cachou Lajaunie as admirers from various professions gaze at her. Cachou Lajaunie is a licorice candy designed to mask smoker's breath, and the poster proudly proclaims its recommendation for smokers, chauffeurs, cyclists and others, adding charm to its allure. The candy is still made today in Toulouse.

French publicity posters are an art genre of their own that began in the later 1800s with the invention of color lithography. The Belle Epoque era from 1890 to turn of the century was the peak period for the French poster. The genre remained popular through the Second World War.

The Savannah Bananas are an exhibition barnstorming baseball team based in Savannah which makes going to the ballpark fun and entertaining. A combination of traditional baseball and entertaining hijinks, the team plays in a similar style to the popular Harlem Globetrotters. Founded in 2016 as a collegiate summer baseball team, the Bananas transitioned to more of a circus baseball style and their popularity has soared. Getting a ticket can be a challenge.

Players are recruited from the old collegiate league team, new hires from independent leagues, and college and minor league baseball teams. They currently compete against the Party Animals and the Firefighters, two other exhibition baseball teams. The team played 87 games in 33 different cities during the 2023 Banana Ball World Tour.
