Purple Rain

Mothera represents encaustic evolution. The work is a collage of natural and man made stones and materials. It is meant to convey that humankind can attempt to live in harmony with the earth.

Crystal is a retired dentist, having practiced on Chicago's Michigan Avenue for 35 years. I have been an art collector for my entire career, and always attended galleries and shows when I traveled for work and meetings. The city of Chicago is rich with art and architecture as well.
In my spare time I took courses at the Art institute of Chicago. After we moved to Fountain Hills I took numerous courses at the Mesa Art Center. Currently, my encaustic work can be seen at Estate Interiors.

Vanna

Vanadinite forms as a secondary mineral through the alteration and oxidation of primary lead ore deposits in the presence of vanadium-rich solutions. Its occurrence is closely tied to specific geological conditions, including the presence of lead minerals, weathering processes, and the influx of vanadium-bearing fluids. The resulting vibrant red crystals of vanadinite make it a SOUGHT AFTER mineral specimen among collectors and a fascinating subject of study in geology and mineralogy.

When I made my amethyst butterflies last year I saw this type of stone in a rock shop and it caught my eye as a beauty.

Honored in high school Art dept.
Went to college at Harding University and received my Bachelor of Science in Art. Since then I have done commissioned work in a lot of various mediums and forms.

Inspired by the way the desert comes alive at night with plants, animals, and the night sky.

I am a 27 year old artist in several galleries around Sedona. Desert scenes and succulents are my main subjects and I have found a lot of inspiration living in Arizona. I have experimented with countless mediums and am constantly drawing ideas from the plants and animals around me.

Dawn visited Fountain Hills for 10 years and relocated full time 5 years ago. Dawn and her family moved from Oregon. As a child I was selected as an elementary student to study Art for gifted children at Marylhurst College. I received 2 scholarships to study at the University of Oregon and OCE. Studied and showed Chinese watercolor and Later Painting, drawing, and fused glass sculpture. Published 2 children's books and a coloring book promoting "Give a Hoot, Don't Pollute" Champaign.

Ms. Nebula

This glow in the dark piece, featuring the Heliz Nebula in the front and the Butterfly Nebula at the pack, pays tribute to Fountain Hills as a Dark Sky Community. The boy looking up to a milky way, releasing a butterfly represents my hope for the community to keep this tradition.

Ms. Nebula is inspired by the Fountain Hills Dark Sky designation.

Jo Ho is an Arizona based artist passionate to create with different media. She is recently focusing on the use of worn denims to paint her stories, as she adores both texture of the fabric and stories of the owners. She loves to spice up her work by adding mix media elements.
Jo's experience of growing up in Hong Kong and living in the US continues to be a well of creative exposure. She finds inspiration in the rhythms of different languages, in the movements of cities and nature, and in diversity of thought.

Saguaro Hotel

I know I am a strong cactus and I love to be the hotel for birds and other wildlife! You should hear all the stories of desert life I get to hear and everyone loves to stay inside of me where it is nice and cool from all the water I retain.

This cute bird with the red spot on his head came and told me all about what was going on in this lovely town of Fountain Hills. Did you know there is something called Flutter at the Fountain and from an inspired photo I was painted onto this beautiful butterfly!

Kimberly Randell Warneke - I am accountant by day and a creator in every spare moment I can find, usually in the wee hours of the morning! The juxtaposition keeps my balance with such a concrete/ sequential job I have to have something to keep me balanced! I have been an avid photographer my whole life and have only been painting a few years. I have had the honor of participating in this event since its inception! I am self taught and will continue throughout life to explore the fulfillment of creating.

Lilac Swallowtail

The "Lilac Swallowtail" butterfly pays tribute to the lilac flowers where different types of Swallowtail butterflies feed, creating an ecosystem of beautiful flowers that help other organisms survive. The two plants, in contrast with the black background and white accents, create a pop of color. The bottom is designed to be a representation of the different pieces of nature fitting together to create a perfect balance where everyone has a place.

The "Lilac Swallowtail" butterfly was inspired by a painting I did a couple of years ago of a blue lilac plant made completely out
of dots, which gives the painting an interesting ombre effect that makes it stand out. Lilacs are also a food source for butterflies,
which is why they will be the main feature of the top of the butterfly. To continue the theme of nature being intertwined on the
bottom, there will be a geometric pattern with a variety of blue, green, and purple pieces that show how everything fits together
to create one lasting picture.

I am in nursing school full time at ASU and will graduate in December 2024 with my BSN. I am a multi-media, self-taught artist
who has worked with acrylic, watercolor, charcoal, freestyle diamond art, resin, and 3D model art. I currently enjoy knitting and sewing clothing, especially dresses. My artwork varies, but I mostly enjoy painting landscapes and plants. I also love combining different mediums to create unique and multi-dimensional artwork.

Metamorphosis

Though it isn't obvious from the top view of my butterfly, this piece was inspired by Fountain Hills. I wanted to create a work that pays tribute to this town and the change I experienced when I moved here. On the underside of the butterfly I painted a desert landscape with Four Peaks in the background. The desert is unforgiving and yet I can't help but love it! It holds so much beauty that I hope to have portrayed through this piece.

Hi, I'm Micaela Young! I am an artist from in Fountain Hills, AZ however, I live in Tucson during the school year. I am in my Junior year at the University of Arizona where I am studying Studio Art. I grew up as the youngest sibling in a family of artists, so I have been drawing for as long as I can remember. I primarily work in graphite and digital art but I have dabbled in most mediums.
