Dakota Shy is located on a beautiful estate, at the base of Pritchard Hill, in the heart of Napa Valley. The early history of the property pre-dates the statehood of California - going back to 1836 when George C. Yount was gifted the Rancho Caymus land grant by General Vallejo. From the 1850s onward, the property was a stop on the wagon route for those heading north to Calistoga or over Sage Canyon Road to the Sacramento valley. In 2014, the owners purchased the property from long-time owners, the de Limur family, and built a world-class winery. This is a big bold Cabernet that would pair well with a Christmas prime rib but would also be great to lay down for five years or more.
