Why: Our Kentucky Derby themed Gala benefits the Tampa Bay Hope Lodge which provides FREE lodging for those receiving life saving cancer treatments. We believe those fighting cancer shouldn't have to worry about where to stay or how to pay!

The ABOA's select group of honorees, affectionately titled Jockeys, are a group of Tampa Bay's emerging and established leaders who have been nominated by their peers to be one of the faces of the second annual Jockeys & Juleps Kentucky Derby themed Gala. Our Jockeys serve an extension of the American Cancer Society to advocate for its mission to impact every cancer and every life with a local focus. They know their way around town, are well-connected, and philanthropic. They want to influence their community and make an impact in the fight to #SaveLives and #GiveHope by raising a minimum of $5,000.
