UpValley Family Centers works with over 40 partner agencies to make sure that vital resources are made available to people right here in our rural community, so they don't have to travel to the larger cities that lie at least 45 minutes away. Every year, UVFC connects more than 4,000 people with essential resources and services that can help them survive, and thrive. We help people sign up for health insurance, connect them to mental health resources, assist with enrollment for unemployment and other benefit programs, and so much more.

More than a quarter of the Calistoga population is 65 and over, and as many as three quarters of them live by themselves. What's more: over 60% of the residents in Calistoga's three senior mobile home parks live on a low or very low income.

Adults who read, talk, and sing regularly with their young child increase his or her readiness for school. Every year, over 250 children and their caregivers participate in UVFCs bilingual early learning programs, including weekly playgroups that provide a variety of developmentally engaging activities and encourage reading at home.
Your $750 donation will help participating parents feel more empowered to engage in fun skill-building activities with their children, and ensure that kids enter Kindergarten better prepared for success.
Latino/Latina students are the most economically disadvantaged ethnic student group in California, and are more likely to live in a household facing financial hardship due to the pandemic. They're also less likely to enter and graduate from college.
UVFC's weekly, school-based CLARO and CLARA mentorship groups provide teens with activities that increase their wellbeing, foster stronger school engagement, and remove barriers to higher education. Data for the past four school years shows that a higher percentage of graduating seniors who participated in CLARO/CLARA met UC and CSU requirements compared to their peers not enrolled in CLARO/CLARA .

As a member of the Napa County Citizenship Legal Services Collaborative, UVFC offers immigration consultations and application assistance to help people on their path to citizenship. Together with the Collaborative, we have helped more than 1,900 people gain citizenship since 2014.
Your $2,500 donation will help ten individuals access the benefits and stability that comes with US Citizenship by providing application assistance and ongoing support as they further secure immigration benefits or prepare for their naturalization interview.
An annual tax refund can offer a critical financial boost for low-income families who depend on seasonal employment - providing a means to fill a budget gap, pay for major expenses like home repair, or allow them to build an emergency savings fund.
Last year, UVFC provided free tax preparation assistance over 600 households, and helped bring back $940,108 in refunds - an average of over $1,536 per family. We also provided financial coaching, helping families stretch their household budgets further, reduce debt, build savings, and increase their credit.
Your $5,000 donation will provide 30 low-income families with access to free tax preparation assistance and other support, allowing them to build a greater sense of financial security.
