More on Mother Compost:
Composting is the next evolution of recycling. When you compost, you sort out organic materials (food waste, yard waste, household waste) at home that can be turned into a nutrient rich fertilizer. All you have to do is collect your scraps in a Mother Compost-provided container.
Service includes:
Container collection every other week on designated day
Clean container after each pick-up, including fresh container liner
Option to reserve up to 60 pounds of finished compost in spring (Must be signed up by end of January to receive in same calendar year)
SMS & Email Reminders
Gwenn Nolan, a Lower Merion mom herself, began Mother Compost in 2018 with a goal of making composting simple and easy for her fellow Main Line residents. She knew many people would love to compost but were short on the time, space or energy needed to turn their food scraps into fertilizer.
Community partner Kitchen Harvest Inc. processes all materials at Linvilla Orchards in Media, Pa and helps keep these vital nutrients in our neighborhood.
