The type and kind we love to produce all day long! This beauty exemplifies what our program has been about over the years - functional, sound, big-bodied cattle that have the ideal look of what an Angus cow, in our opinion, should look like. Easy doing, heavy milking with a beautiful udder and teat size in a moderate and heavy muscled package, this is quite a cow and she has 7 sisters in the herd! Her dam, Blackcap May 217 dam is an own daughter of SAV May 2397, the mother of SAV Blackcap May 4136, herself the mother of SAV Resource, President, and many more AI studs. 217 produced the $10,000 top-selling female of a previous Great Meadows Sale in KY and has produced many more high-level cattle for our program. This cow raised a big, thick SAV Emblem son this summer, but we found him dead after showing no sign of illness in middle August. 9103 is bred to SAV River Road 1870 (Lot 50), the second high-selling Rainfall bull of the 2022 Schaff Angus Valley Sale. Her flush sister sells as Lot 6.

The first of three Raindance daughters from Blackcap May 217, the dam of Lot 1 and seven others in the offering. The Raindance mating really clicked as we couldn't be happier with the three females resulting from this flush. Like her maternal sister selling as Lot 1, this one has the ideal Angus cow look. She is perfectly designed with a tremendous udder and teat quality, standing on a functional and sound made skeleton with ample muscle shape and total mass. Selling with a new heifer baby born 9/9/23 by SAV Land Baron 1237 (Reg: AAA +20159556), a SAV Landmark x SAV Emblynette 2369 making Land Baron a maternal brother to SAV Bloodline, SAV Emblem, and SAV Ajax. What a pair of Angus cattle!

A real tank and a super, young cow! We tried something a little different on our foundation Blackcap May 217 female with PVF Insight and we loved the way it worked. This is a big bodied, sound made female that has the cow power synonymous with Insight females. The service sire to each of the cows selling here, we fell in love with this bull when we saw him at the 2022 Schaff Angus Valley Sale where he was the second highest selling son of Rainfall. He is so sound and big footed, tremendous in his rib shape and so expressive in his hip and hind leg with extra stoutness in a very moderate package which made him ideal in what we were looking for. This bull derived from a SAV Harvestor daughter stemming from four consecutive generations of Emblynette Pathfinder dams that excel in fertility, longevity, productivity, and maternal value. Kelly stated in his footnotes that, "his productive dam is a ranch favorite with stellar phenotype, impeccable udder quality, and high-level milk production." He handled the transition to KY very well and although managed on just hay and grass since being here, still maintains good body condition while being pictured and videoed in his working clothes. My biggest regret about this bull is that I'm not going to be part of this coming calf crop which I believe will be tremendous. I really think this bull has a great amount of potential and upside for a variety of breeding programs. I hope you can come to see him.
