FAQs About the Event


For our Guests Joining the Wine Women and Shoes Event:  

Dress Code/Weather:  Resort casual/daytime cocktail dresses, pants/blouses, florals, a wrap or light jacket for the outdoor Marketplace. We're at the beach so you can expect it might be chilly as the sun goes down. Don't worry….we'll have heaters.  The 8-10 PM dinner program is inside.

Marketplace: The wonderful Marketplace vendors will donate back 20% of all sales to First Tee OC. Check them out ahead of time by clicking on their websites.  Vendors accept credit cards and some may accept alternative payment methods.

Shoes:   Don't forget there will be a Best in Shoe contest for Fabulous Flats, High-Class Heals, and Bodacious Boots!

Valet Parking: After you turn into the Resort at the light, follow the big sign on the left to the Valet parking area for our event in the back of the resort. The discounted rate is $20 per vehicle.

Silent Auction: The Silent Auction is now open! Click on the link to view and bid on the beautiful items. You do not need to be present to win, but it will close promptly at 8:15 PM on April 12.

Live Auction: Check out the eight lots that will be part of our amazing Live Auction that night! More info will be available at the event.

Key to the Closet Opportunity Drawing: Offers an exclusive selection of five luxury items and experiences. Only 100 tickets at $100 will be sold for one very lucky winner.  MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN.

On-Site Registration & Bidding:  You'll need to provide a credit card on file to participate in the auctions and opportunity drawings.  No cash transactions.  Your information will not be shared with any third party.  At the end of the night, you'll receive an email receipt summarizing all of your purchases (except for the Marketplace).

Food & Beverage: Appetizers will be offered from 6-8 PM. A delicious served dinner in the ballroom begins at 8 PM. If you require a vegetarian meal, please let your server know at your table.  Wine tasting and at least two bottles of donated wine per table are included in the event. Other alcoholic drinks are available for purchase at the Cash Bar, and non-alcoholic drinks will be available at no charge.

Auction Item Pick Up Instructions
If you are unable to attend the event or are unable to take the items after the event, we kindly ask that you coordinate your pickup with a First Tee of Orange County representative.  Items will be available for pick up by appointment at Dad Miller Golf Course, 430 N. Event Description 

The fabulous FUNdraiser Wine, Women & Shoes benefiting the youth development organization First Tee - Orange County will be held from 6 - 10 PM on April 12 at Balboa Bay Resort in Newport Beach.  Spend the evening shopping our vendor Marketplace and sipping wines from well known wineries during the 6-8 PM segment and enjoying a three-course meal during the dinner program from 8-10.  Guests will also bid on beautiful items donated by area retailers in Silent and Live Auctions and a Key to the Closet opportunity drawing. The event continues with the Mission Moment presented by a long-term teenage FTOC participant, a "2024 Spring Fashion Trend Show" presented by Brighton and a "Best in Shoe" contest among guests.
