Enjoy an intimate, private dining experience for up to eight people in the comfort of your home, provided by the incredible chefs from the Highlands Dinner Club, a mobile culinary and social laboratory in which participants collaboratively will design the meal of their dreams. Your guests will participate in a conversation with the chef to guide and assist in crafting the menu and creating the dishes in this really unique culinary experience.

Spend a Week in Paradise in St. Petersburg, FL!

Charming stand-alone studio guest suite with its own entrance and onsite parking in the historic Old Northeast section of St. Petersburg, FL. Akua'ba (sometimes spelled Akwaba or Akuba) are wooden dolls representing prosperity, good luck and fertility. Typically from Western Ghana and nearby areas, this special guy is from the Congo. The best known akua'ba are those of the Fanti people, "Fanti Dolls" whose akua'ba have large, disc-like heads.

Traditionally, these dolls are carried on the back of young women either hoping to conceive a child, or to ensure the attractiveness of the child being carried. When not in active use, the akua'ba would be ritually washed and cared for in the traditional homestead.

Created by one of the students supported by Kiwimbi's programs, this piece is a true work of art made through a collaboration. The pigment used is handmade by the students and Kiwimbi's art teachers from local red clay. The board and frame are made from local wood, shaped and smooth by Kiwimbi's carpentry department. The student was guided and instructed by London-based artist, Radu Leon, who spent time at Kiwimbi this summer working with the children and staff.

The Kenyan government has unexpectedly stopped covering the cost of internet access for the Kiwimbi Library!
