You are warmly welcomed to our Lake House on Lake Winnisquam, in the heart of New Hampshire's Lakes Region. Close to hiking, skiing, and simply relaxing by the lake, this is your opportunity to take a deep breath and simply BE.
Enjoy a four or five night stay in our cozy lake house. We can host six adults and up to four kids. We have a dedicated guest room with a king sized bed and bathroom en suite. We have another dedicated guest room with a queen bed and bath in the hall. We've got a big, open third floor with a double bed, a nook with a futon, and a stack of twin mattresses that get made up for "kids" (of all ages).
This also includes an invitation to two delicious dinners with your hosts, as well as individualized travel recommendations. We can provide continental breakfast items of your choosing (cereal, milk, yogurts, etc.). You are welcome to share our kitchen; however, we also live here full time and have limited refrigerator space. We can provide suggestions for eating out.
Our home is on the water! During the summer, you are welcome to borrow our stand up paddle boards, kayaks, canoe, and floating chairs.
Our family has many connections to Holden Village and we love hosting and extending Holden hospitality!

Kristen Gilje Work Week Print

This stunning watercolor print vividly captures the autumn colors and changing seasons in the Railroad Creek Valley.
The scene depicts volunteers preparing Holden Village for winter by placing wooden coverings on ground-level windows to protect them from the vast snowfall, which averages 270 inches annually. Dumbbell Mountain in the background is covered in snow and suggests the beautiful changes ahead for the winter.
Artist Kristen Gilje painted many exquisite watercolors of Holden Village as artist-in-residence from 1997 to 2006. She no longer sells prints, making this piece more rare and valuable.
This print measures 15 x 20 inches and is framed 24 x 28 inches including the wooden frame.

This amazing ceramic plate was hand thrown by guest Village Potter, Mike Caemmerer.
Perfect as a serving dish or on display for decoration, this ceramic plate would be a lovely addition to your home or as a gift.
Mike Caemmerer started Tall Tree Ceramics in 2019, which produces small batch, wheel-thrown, artisan ceramics and is located in the heart of the Cascade Mountains of North Central Washington.
Mike grew up with artistic parents, professor/painter dad and weaver mom, always in an environment that allowed dabbling in one art form or another. He first sat at a potter's wheel at the Grunewald Guild pottery in 1988, and has mostly been self-taught ever since with the help of amazing mentors along the way, especially Jim Halvorson of Bloomington Indiana. Fighting with full time jobs, pottery was mostly a hobby until the summer of 2019 when he left his job and made ceramics part of his daily life.
