By The Pour Painter
Inspired by this year's theme, "Seasons of Wings", The Pour Painter decided to represent the way life changes throughout the entire year. As the Colorado Mountain Winter gives way to Spring, new life emerges, ready to thrive during the hot and joyous months of Summer. As the leaves turn, children return to school in the Fall and we are reminded of the purpose of this project: to support the education of Colorado Springs children throughout all of the seasons.
"The Pour Painter is an art collective based in the vibrant art scene of Colorado Springs. Established amidst the challenges associated with chronic illnesses such as autoimmune disorders, depression, anxiety, arthritis, and insomnia, this collective is a testament to the power of art as a means of resilience and healing.
Using art as a form of therapy, The Pour Painter collective explores emotions and experiences through an array of colors. Each piece they create is a one-of-a-kind creation, mirroring the distinctiveness of human experiences.
Known for their unique style of abstract fluid art, also known as pour painting, they skillfully utilize various fluid art techniques, additives, and colors to craft their expressive masterpieces. Each work is a fluid interpretation of life events and emotions-be it fear, triumph, love, loss, or a simple moment of realization."
