At this fun annual event on December 9, 2023 from 10-1 in MHS gym, dancers will learn basic technique and a dance routine from the MHS dance team and coaches. They will also get the opportunity to perform at half-time during a Mason Varsity Boys basketball game on December 12, 2023 with the Varsity Dance team and sit courtside while the MHS dance team performs. Experience includes Dancing with the Comets T-shirt and a Mason water bottle.

Mason Soccer Camp

The Youth Soccer Camp will instruct players about the skills, habits, and attitude required to succeed in soccer and life. Participants will be involved in daily instruction involving soccer skills and tactics. This camp is open to girls & boys and will be staffed by women's & men's coaches and players.

Players and coaches will be working with the kids throughout the week. Available for boys or girls in 4th - 8th grade.

VIP School Board Experience

Get ready for your Mason City Schools VIP EXPERIENCE with behind the scenes activities to prepare for a Board of Education Meeting YOU or YOUR STUDENT will run! You will get a VIP tour of your favorite facility and talk with people you want to meet! You, or the student you select, will see your school district from a completely new view.

As VIP, you will select a date (from a list of options) and participate in activities with a board member. Here are a couple of possible experiences your day may include:

• Attend a football game with a Board Member and watch the game from the field/ press box.
• Honor a staff member with an award for outstanding performance.
• Enjoy lunch with the Board President and Superintendent to prepare for the next scheduled Board meeting.
• Attend a work session with the Board to discuss current hot topics in the school district.

Let's hear it for Cincinnati native, Sam Hubbard! What a career!

A former two-sport standout at Moeller High School, Sam was on track to attend Notre Dame on a lacrosse scholarship until a gym class encounter with Urban Meyer, which would divert his path north to The Ohio State University. His time in Columbus reinforced his commitment to his state and community.

Sam currently plays defensive end for the Cincinnati Bengals and was drafted by the Bengals in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

Roebling Bridge

A black & white print highlighting the iconic landmark!

The John A. Roebling Bridge has been an iconic landmark over the Ohio River for more than 150 years. Designed by civil engineer John Roebling, the bridge officially opened to traffic on January 1, 1867. Its 1,075 foot span made it the longest bridge in the world.

The bridge is an engineering marvel that employed several new bridge-building techniques. Perhaps its most impressive features are the two primary cables, each containing 5,180 individual wires. The cables were "spun" in place using wire imported from England. A second set of cables was added in 1897 to support heavier loads.

In addition to being a National Historic Landmark, the bridge has been designated as a National Historic Civil Engineering Landmark by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE)

Since its opening in 1933, Union Terminal has had a long and storied history, from welcoming soldiers home from World War II to becoming the home of three museums, an OMNIMAX Theater and the Cincinnati History Library and Archives.

Play like a Champion

It's just a simple wooden sign, painted gold and blue and mounted on a cream-colored brick wall at the foot of a stairwell. Yet, the "Play Like A Champion Today" sign, found outside Notre Dame's locker room, is so much more.

The slogan "Play Like A Champion Today" is so synonymous with the University that one can be excused for believing that Father Edward Sorin, the school's founder, received it as a divine revelation in 1842.

While the exact origin of the slogan is not known, the sign that currently hangs in Notre Dame Stadium came courtesy of former coach Lou Holtz.
