With a gift of $5,000, the Butterfly Fund can provide two one-hour counseling sessions for 20 families, whether for the Star, siblings, or parents. These counseling services can also extend to Eternal Star families for up to a year after a child passes. Families tell us that their greatest need is for emotional support. Your gift can help us meet this critical need by providing counseling for our families following a brain tumor diagnosis.

Donate $2,500

This level sponsors one family for a year with financial assistance through our Butterfly Fund; helping the family with whatever is most needed; mortgage, rent, utilities, car payment, car insurance, counseling services, or gas or grocery cards. This assistance alleviates a little bit of the stress a family feels and allows them to focus on their child.

Donate $1,000

No one wants to bury a child, but sadly pediatric brain cancer is the most lethal childhood disease in the U.S. This level helps parents with funeral expenses when faced with this unimaginable loss. This year the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation has already provided over $45k in funeral assistance to families as they said goodbye to their children.

Donate $500

Your gift at this level provides 10 families with gas cards to take their child to treatment, therapies, MRIs and other appointments. A child diagnosed with a brain tumor may have daily radiation, weekly chemotherapy treatments, MRIs every three months, and multiple physical therapy appointments to attend. Something as small as a gas card can go a very long way.

Your gift at this level provides a family with a grocery card to help put food on the table and pay for needed healthcare items that insurance might not cover. When faced with mounting medical bills, loss of income from time off work, and additional costs for care, a grocery card can make a difference.
