C. Beehler "Farmer's Market"
$3750Add this unique 16" x 20" art piece of the "Farmer's Market" by local artist, Carolyn Beehler, to your home, restaurant, etc.
Carolyn Beehler is a paper artist living in Franklin, Tennessee. She was born in California but grew up in the South. She attended elementary school on Henpeck Lane and later a classical Christian school and finally art school at O'More College of Design. She spent the rest of her twenties moving around to disparate places including Shanghai, Italy, L.A. and Bloomington, Indiana, because she worried she'd settle down and never get to see the world. Besides art, she likes learning about gardening, shoe design, woodworking and writing.
From the artist:
The 21st century is a complex one as the "Internet of things" blurs the distinction between what's real and what's virtual. Art can help ground a person, even as it stirs the imagination. This piece depicts a summer morning at the Franklin Farmer's Market, typically packed and picked over by 10 am. This is because we all crave simplicity and sanity. Day and night, YouTube and Twitter and Amazon and email alike plaster us with sales and discounts, bills to be paid, bills to be passed, Botox, supplements you need, skirmishes abroad, nuclear threats, fentanyl statistics, digital currency, outbreaks, storms, cancer, AI, and on and on and on. It's no surprise to see farmers markets trending across the US because they reflect a collective mind that needs a break. There's a hunger to escape back to reality, even with something as simple as picking out strawberries and Buttercrunch lettuce.
