  • When and where is the auction?

The auction is Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Sacred Heart Valley Park gymnasium (12 Ann Avenue, Valley Park, MO).  

  • What is the theme and attire?

Our theme is A Night Under the Stars and cocktail attire.

  • What comes with my ticket?

 You will receive appetizers, a delicious catered meal, open bar, dessert, access to raffles, silent and live auction items, and a fun night to socialize with your SHVP friends and family! 

  • When does the online auction begin/end?

The online silent auction opens for bidding on Monday, March 3, 2025 at 10:00am

The online silent auction closes on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 10:00pm

  • How can I view online items?

Simply text Sheart25 to 76278 or visit www.sheart25.givesmart.com to check out our amazing items

  • How do I get a bid number?

Each guest or couple will be assigned a bid number which you will receive upon arrival at the auction. 

  • Do I need to register an account in Givesmart to purchase items?

Yes, all transactions occur via Givesmart.

  • Do I have to provide a credit card number to Givesmart?

Yes, you must enter a credit card number.

You will not be charged unless you purchase tickets, auction items and/or raffle tickets, or participate in Fund-A-Need.

While you must enter a credit card to participate, contact SHVP Auction Co-Chairs at shvpauction@gmail.com by Monday, March 3rd, if you want to pay your final bill by check.

  • I cannot attend, can I bid remotely?

Yes, you can still enjoy virtual bidding while supporting Sacred Heart!  Silent auction items and most raffles are available remotely. 

Live auction items are only available to in-person attendees. 

GiveSmart Platform

 

  • Can two people share the same bid # and credit card number? 

Yes! Please contact shvpauction@gmail.com and let us know which auction profiles to merge, including the primary phone number and email address that should be listed, and we'll happily merge two profiles.

  • Can I set a max bid? 

Yes! When you place an initial bid, you'll be presented with a screen asking if they'd like to place a Max Bid. If you enter a Max Bid amount, the system will automatically bid for you up to that amount and you will remain the top bidder for that lot until/unless your Max Bid is exceeded.

If anyone bids against you, a message will appear to the competing supporter letting them know they've been outbid by someone else's max bid and will prompt them to bid again.

Here's how to set your max bid:. Navigate to the item you're interested in and place your initial bid.. After placing your bid, you'll see a screen asking if you'd like to set a Max Bid. Enter the max amount you'd like the system to bid for you and click "Confirm Bid". To view and adjust your Max Bids, go to the Silent Auction tab and click "View my items."

 

Fund A Need

 

  • What is Fund-A-Need? 

Fund A Need is a special part of the auction focused on improving the school and classrooms to create a better learning environment for our students.  

  • Where does the Fund-A-Need money go?

This year's Fund A Need is focused on improving technology for the classrooms and Sacred Heart staff to continue to provide our students with a quality education.  

why we are raising money at our auction. Each year our Fund A Need varies - stay tuned for more information! Gifts of every size are appreciated!

  • How do I contribute to Fund-A-Need? 

It's easy! Simply text Sheart25 to 76278 or visit www.sheart25.givesmart.com to contribute.

 

What happens after the auction?


  • How will I know if I win?

If you win Silent or Live auction items, you will be notified by text and/or email as soon as Sacred Heart Valley Park's auction closes.

The credit card you entered will be immediately charged unless you made a prior arrangement with the SHVP Auction Co-Chairs.

  • I purchased an auction item online, now what?

If you are attending the in-person event, you may pick up your items at the conclusion of the night.

Or you may pick up your winning auction items from the SHVP Gym on Sunday, March 9th between 10 am-12 pm.

If you live outside of St. Louis or need an alternative pickup time, please contact the SHVP Auction Co-Chairs at shvpauction@gmail.com.


Auction Guidelines

  • Each guest (couple) has been assigned a bid number via GiveSmart. Please use this number in making all bids throughout the evening. Do not allow anyone else to use your bid number.
  • Payments for all auction items may be made at one time via the credit card supplied at the time of registration. We accept American Express, Discover, MasterCard and VISA. Should you prefer other payment options, such as personal check or donor-advised funds, please communicate that with shvpauction@gmail.com before 12:00 p.m. CST on Monday, March 3rd, 2025.
  • All auction items must be picked up from Sacred Heart by March 14th, 2025. Failure to pick up items by March 14th, 2025 as outlined is interpreted to mean that it is abandoned, and no refund will be given.
  • Please remember that all the auction items have been donated through the generosity of friends of Sacred Heart - Valley Park. Unless noted in the item description, no refunds or exchanges will be made by the donor for merchandise or certificates. All certificates and services must be used by the date specified by the donor.
  • Failure, for whatever cause, to arrange for a trip, meal, party, etc., within the time limit and according to the specified conditions and / or limitations imposes absolutely no obligations for a refund on the donor or Sacred Heart Valley Park.
  • Sale to another party by the winning bidder imposes absolutely no obligation on the donor or Sacred Heart.
  • Values established for auction items are best estimates from the donor and are not warranted by Sacred Heart for tax purposes or general value.
  • Please contact your tax advisor regarding the appropriate tax deduction for any items purchased at the Sacred Heart Valley Park Auction.
  • Purchases involving overnight accommodations are limited to guests over 21 years old unless accompanied by an adult.
  • All bids are final, and the decision of the winning bid is made by Sacred Heart Valley Park.
  • All goods and services purchased at the Sacred Heart Valley Park Auction shall be used at the sole risk of the purchaser, and neither the Auction Committee nor Sacred Heart will be held responsible or liable for any damage or injury occurring to any user of the SHVP Auction-purchased goods or Services. All items are sold "as is" and no warranty or guarantee is given as to the merchantability or suitability of any such items.
