These paintings on raw silk cloth are a traditional Pichwai art form from the Northwestern Indian state of Rajasthan. Natural dyes are used in this painting depicting elephant "dressed-up" with decorations on a navy blue background. Each measures approximately 8"x14"Frame for placement on either side of a doorway, opening or other display. Or perhaps gift one to a friend. It is recommended that acid free paper be used in the frame to prevent fading of natural dyes.
