The Franklin Lakes campus, serving our youngest learners, opened its doors in January 2024. While our new school is beautiful, the outdated playground equipment does not best serve our students' needs. Our vision is to provide a customized play environment, implementing a range of equipment such as textured panels, vibrant colors, and tactile paths that offer our learners a fulfilling and engaging experience. Your gift to support our goal of raising $150,000 for the playground will give our students an exciting way to learn, socialize, and engage, strengthening their self-awareness and self-confidence along the way.

Through REED Next, our adult day habilitation clients benefit from amazing experiences, which include fitness activities, service-learning engagement, and visits to local establishments. In other words, our clients are busy doing fun activities in our community! One new activity on REED Next's wish list is to provide monthly cooking classes for our clients. Cooking classes do more than teach the basics about mixing, baking, and measuring; they also offer valuable opportunities to refine motor skills, develop intellectually and engage socially. Each class costs $300, but unlike a teaspoon of salt, the benefits of this program are immeasurable!

As one piece of our health and wellness initiative, and with your gift, REED Next will begin offering 30-minute yoga classes two times per week for our day habilitation clients. Yoga has many benefits, from enhancing flexibility and core strength to teaching mindfulness, meditation, and relaxation. These are critical elements for enriching our clients' health and wellbeing. Since the classes are taught in a group setting, clients also benefit from getting another opportunity to grow socially. Every gift of $100 will not only provide an additional class for our clients, but also promotes a lifetime of physical activity.
