Acupuncture treatments for one pet. Includes initial consult/treatment and two additional treatments.
Acupuncture involves the insertion of thin sterile needles into specific points on the body in order to cause a therapeutic effect. Research has shown that acupoints are located in areas where there is a high density of free nerve endings, mast cells, small arterioles, and lymphatic vessels. Studies indicate that stimulation of acupoints release beta-endorphins, serotonin, and other neurotransmitters.
Acupuncture is indicated for musculoskeletal problems, neurological disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, other chronic conditions, and quality of life improvement.
Expires July 2024. New patients only.
