"'Photo collage' is the current stop on my creative journey. I enjoy using Photoshop to create composite works using images I've taken at local sites, including my backyard creek, auto junkyards, the Chicago Botanic Garden, Spring Valley Nature Center, the Illinois Railway Museum and many other great facilities. Photos from vacations and travels are also used. I scan one-of-a-kind papers that I have altered with painting, embossing and solvents to add further interest. With all this available imagery, I create fantasy and creatures, abstracts, and landscapes"

Artist statement:

Since the mid-2000s, my artwork has been an intentional yet spontaneous collection of international travel and snapshots of what nature and in particular wildlife in their environment has to offer. Take a moment to engage with another being. Make that connection from one soul to another through the eyes.

I am a retired Waukegan Firefighter and retired Navy Reserve Master Chief. I am blessed to be able to travel the world and capture in photography what I see and experience. I reside in Grayslake with my husband Tom. Life is grand!!
