This piece is about how we keep relationships with other people throughout the events of our lives. The marbles were handmade by people who are important to Gina, and who have been with her before, during, and after cancer. The motion of the piece represents life. It spins in a chaotic way, creating visual turbulence, but when it becomes still again, the marbles representing the people who love and support us are still there. They may have knocked against each other a bit, or changed position, but life is like that.Shipping rates may apply if unable to pick-up night of the event.">Mariel Collins,"Stable Spin," 15" diameter (circular) x 3.5" thickness, mixed media (acrylic, clay, and metal on wood)
