The art of photography has morphed into a therapeutic form of expression for me. My photography expresses the mood that I am in at any given day or time in my life. I use photography to not only capture life events and milestones but to capture the surroundings I am in at any given time. My favorite subjects to capture are historical places and architecture and I find solitude and serenity capturing the beautiful art abundant in historical cemeteries. My camera has become a close "companion" of mine. I was so pleased to be paired with a caregiver. I, myself, have cancer and this piece gave me a chance to thank all of the caregivers that are affected just as much by the disease of cancer as the person that has it. The emotions are the same, fear, anger and joy when a diagnosis is good. Many caregivers are at a loss when trying to figure out what they can do to help. Donna is a "Relentless Warrior" thus the name of the image. The disease has affected her personal life and as a career she has chosen to be a nurse caring for cancer patients. Donna is also very involved with the cancer fundraising organization "Team in Training". My piece highlights one of her victorious moments as she crossed the finish line at one of her races. The colors in the piece represent all of the colors of the cancer ribbons. The fact that the piece is round represents the endless fight that Donna is fighting every day as a caregiver. Thank you Donna and all caregivers! Shipping rates may apply if unable to pick-up night of the event.">Anne Raczkowski, "Relentless Warrior", 16x16, Canvas, Digital Photography
