Hand-Painted Kitty Condo

This kitty condo was lovingly refurbished and painted by our very own supporter, Bev Pitta. The condo was donated to Second Chance years ago and was well-loved by another kitty until they passed away, at which time it was donated back to us for more kitties to enjoy. Bev carefully cleaned and redesigned it to have a fully painted interior for easy cleaning and outfitted the interior shelves with a vinyl mat and outdoor carpet that can be easily removed, as they are attached with Velcro. The roof of the condo opens up for easy shelf removal and cleaning.

On the outside of this adorable condo, Bev has repainted the trim in a beautiful shade of blue and restrained the wood siding. AND the BEST parts are the hand-painted cats around this condo that may look familiar to those at Second Chance. You will find Chiquita on the left wall! This one-of-a-kind kitty condo will have your cat living in style!

She thrives on socializing with other dogs and is always up for a romp in the park or a game of chase in the backyard.

Glitch is a social butterfly and loves to be around people. He is the life of the party. Like all kittens he loves to play. You will almost always find him chasing a toy around the room or wrestling with one of his roommates. He is also very cuddly and enjoys being held, and because of all this it should come as no surprise he was officially adopted on 9/11/2023!

Strawberry Jam is 8 months old and has had quite the life so far. She was found with a huge wound on her abdomen. It went all the way across her belly and was extremely infected. The nice people who found her took her to the vet, who could tell she wanted to fight. Second Chance agreed to take her, help her heal, and find a forever home, but she was extremely underweight, and it would be several months of antibiotics and monitoring. Strawberry Jam was determined to show us her little body was strong enough. She slowly started to put on weight, her belly healed, and her fur started to grow back. She is one of the sweetest kittens ever, and is now in her fur-ever home after having been adopted on 9/11/2023--with Glitch!

Acorn evaded capture for many months while living at a local dump; she would hide all day and eat garbage at night to survive. She and the rest of her pack, who were essentially feral, had been shot at, so it's no wonder they feared people. She and others were ultimately caught and now she's working on her social skills at Second Chance!

Surrendered in June, Ariel and three other grown dogs were living in an F150 truck with her owner, who had lost his job and home. After Ariel gave birth, her owner brought Ariel and the SEVEN puppies she'd been hiding under one of the seats into Second Chance for help. He had had her for five years and was heartbroken to leave her, yet knew it was for the best. Ariel, a sweet, affectionate girl, is now looking for a new forever home.

At just over 2 years old, Barrie joined the Second Chance family after one of our volunteers brought him in after seeing him hanging around her house. He really didn't seem to want to be an outside cat anymore and wanted a loving family of his own. While a little nervous in new places, Barrie warmed up with the help of toys, and he absolutely loved to nap in the window and was the first to greet you at the door after a long day of work! He found his fur-ever family and was officially adopted on 9/13/2023!

Back in 2015, Colman's mom was one of seven dogs in her household and had a little too much fun with the fellas, so after we rescued her, Colman and his littermates were born into our program. Colman was quickly adopted and had been happily home all these years... until Mom and Dad had a new baby and Colman decided their baby was HIS baby. He guarded the kiddo from the parents, so they had to surrender him back to us in November 2022. He is an energetic 7-year-old boy who loves to play in a fenced-in backyard with a tennis ball, which is one of his favorite toys. Although he can be shy at first, if you throw a tennis ball, he will quickly become your best friend, and even though he loves to play, he can also be known to be a cuddle-bug and loves lazy days around the house.
