About Cattle Baron's Ball
As the largest American Cancer Society event in Southeast Texas, the event has raised over $6 million dollars since its inception.
The Society is currently funding over $37 million in cancer research within the state of Texas.
In 2021, the American Cancer Society Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation Hope Lodge© opened doors in Houston, offering the nation's largest facility with 64 rooms for patients and their caregivers, saving guests tens of thousands of dollars each year.
Additionally, we are extremely proud of our local transportation and lodging grant program, that provides funding to Southeast Texas cancer centers to help patients with transportation and/or lodging needs during their treatment.
Headliner: The Frontmen
Welcome to the Southeast Texas Cattle Baron's Ball!
Since the inception of the Southeast Texas Cattle Baron's Ball 34 years ago, so much progress has been made in the fight to end cancer.
Today, there are nearly 17 million cancer survivors living largely due to the life-saving breakthroughs and treatments funded by ACS (that's a 33% drop in cancer deaths since 1991). Let's create millions more while also minimizing the financial burden of many local families dealing with this horrific disease.
Our event is November 11, Veteran's Day, therefore our theme, a Star-Spangled Night, will pay tribute to veterans. Southeast Texas has never seen such a patriotic party!
Please support our efforts! Buy a table. Sponsor a special event or a pig! Yes, a pig. We're racing pigs during the event! Buy a raffle ticket for a chance to win $10,000 or support our restricted gift program directly putting aid in the hands of Southeast Texas cancer patients.
The Cattle Baron's Ball Star Spangled Night is Southeast Texas' way of contributing to this results-oriented effort and your opportunity to honor the journey of those who have battled cancer - the ones we still hold tightly and the ones we hold in our hearts.
With our love and appreciation - Shelly & Carl Vitanza, 2023 CBB Chairs
