Over the course of three weeks, students will be immersed in a curriculum designed to integrate wellness and enrichment into their education and career interests. Topics will include social-emotional and leadership development, team building, orientation with school resources, and exposure to college and career opportunities.

We are planning a few trips to inspire students to think outside the box and explore new ideas.

Help our students break out of their neighborhoods to access the world-class resources right in their backyard - including major cultural institutions and museums, nature and hiking, and health and wellness facilities.

What's a summer program without a field trip? What's a field trip without a bus? We estimate we will need buses each week to get students safely to and from.

Support students as they explore the city of Los Angeles.

We will be transporting about 150 growing pre-teens across Los Angeles once a week. Your support will ensure they are fed and hydrated as they embark on new experiences while exploring the city!

$1,000 will support 1 student for 3 weeks of the CISLA Summer Acceleration program.

Throughout the program, students will participate in fun and engaging projects requiring them to use their craft creativity to express certain emotions and unpack feelings in a safe and fun way.

The Institute for Arts Integration and STEAM, says that activities help students identify and process emotions. They provide safe opportunities to practice decision-making. When students make art together, they invest in the outcome. The arts motivate students to practice relationship skills in an authentic way.

This summer, we will work much more closely with students in targeted groups. Using CISLA's standard 1:1 case management protocol, we will work with students to help meet any gaps in their needs so they can fully engage in the program and thrive in their education.
