bottles of DuMOL Syrah Eddie's Patch Vineyard:
Robert Parker 91 - "The dense, elegant 2007 Syrah Eddies Patch offers up aromas of pepper, tapenade, bouquet garni, and blackberries. This structured, tannic Syrah requires 1-2 years of cellaring for its tannins to melt away."
Robert Parker 95 - "The 2009 Syrah Eddie's Patch Hoppe-Kelly Vineyard bursts onto the palate with an exciting array of dark red cherries, rose petals, spices, leather and licorice. The use of 33% whole clusters gives the wine a high-toned register in the bouquet that is especially appealing. Sweet, silky tannins frame the exceptional finish in this pliant, highly expressive Syrah. This is a fabulous showing."
Robert Parker 92 - "A brilliant wine for this vintage, the 2011 Syrah Eddie's Patch does not quite have the concentration of the 2010 or 2012, but it is a well-made wine for this troublesome vintage. Because of the tiny crop size and severe selection process both in the vineyard and winery, production for the 2011 was much smaller than usual. The wine possesses an inky/purple color along with notes of graphite, camphor, blackberries and bouquet garni. Medium to full-bodied, supple and velvety."
Robert Parker 95 - "The 2012 Syrah Eddie's Patch (a 410-case, 100% Syrah aged 18 months in 40% new French oak hogsheads) comes from 16-year-old Syrah vines. Aromas of bouquet garni, roasted meats, blackberries and blackcurrants soar from the glass of this blue/black-colored Syrah. Full-bodied with olive tapenade notes, sweet tannin and an expansive, multilayered mouthfeel"
