Blizzard Box Donation

Sponsor a three-meal blizzard box and aid in covering the cost of food and supplies for only $10 each.

Blizzard Boxes are packed and delivered to homebound Meals on Wheels recipients. Consumers are encouraged to store the meals in a safe place to use as a backup for stormy winter days when the MOW staff may be unable to deliver a hot meal.
On the outside of each box is a label which states, "These nutritious meals are provided to you by: (your name)."
This gives you, the donor, some visibility for your support of the program, and helps the recipient relate to the real people in the community who have made the service possible.

The Area Agency on Aging Auxiliary thanks you for your ongoing support. Even when costs have gone up, you continue to sustain our programs and services through your efforts and monetary gifts. One way to show your support is by becoming a member or by renewing your membership with the "Friends of the Area Agency on Aging."
When you join the Auxiliary, you will receive a discount card, which includes offers to over 50 local businesses throughout Clearfield County.

For 45 years the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging, Inc. has been committed to enhancing the quality of life for older residents throughout Clearfield County. As our population continues to grow, especially those 85 years and older, we will continue to plan and position our agency to be prepared to meet their present and future needs. The agency offers a wide variety of services including: delivering over 700 hot meals daily to frail elders in our very rural service area, providing navigation services to caregivers who are in need to help understanding the long term care continuum, transition services for individuals discharged from the hospital to those discharged from a nursing home, caregiver support to creating person centered plans for our consumers, medication reconciliation services to medical nutrition therapy; and now to affordable housing options, including elder cottages to shared homes.
