Thank you for your support of our Purple Carpet Gala, Golden Glamour. We hope you had a spectacular evening.

Your attendance and generosity bring hope to the millions of people facing Alzheimer's by raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, support and research. By joining us, you made a difference in the fight to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia. The dollars you helped raise through the 2023 Purple Carpet Gala help individuals living with the disease and their caregivers access support wherever and whenever they need it from our 24/7 Helpline (800.272.3900). They help families facing the disease connect with others in their shoes through support groups and online networks. And they directly impact the pace and momentum behind the fight to end Alzheimer's.

The ultimate aim of the Alzheimer's Association is to bring an end to this terrible disease. We understand that the only way this vision can be reached is through the development of effective and accessible treatments.

For decades, there have only been small steps toward the development of treatments. In the past few years, a series of measurably effective treatments began emerging, and continue to emerge today. Right now, there are two FDA approved drugs specific to Alzheimer's and mild cognitive impairment. One has full FDA approval. The second earned an accelerated approval status, which we are confident will soon receive full FDA approval as well. Even better news is that several other treatment drugs are in trial phases, which we hope demonstrate proven effectiveness.

So, when we say we are in the era of treatments, we are also saying there is a new hope… for we are on course for a world without Alzheimer's.
