The blade is made from 5160 steel, a steel that is pushed into service for knives throughout the world. While principally an industrial steel, it is exceptionally tough and takes a great edge. The handles are made of aluminum and are anodized to replicate the traditional color case hardening. While this blade is part of a limited series, it is made to work. With time the blade and handle will patina and take on a look that is reflective of the work the owner puts it through.
