This beautiful flower art piece set in a shadow box is as unique as the children who created it. Each petal was created by the children of Ms. Clark's 1st Grade Class with watercolors. The children then added words that represent love and peace to them. Their words are sure to inspire! The flower portrays their kindness, love for one another and the wonderful children they are blossoming into.

There is no better representation of this class than LOVE. These kids sure have big hearts. Whether it is helping each other, making sure a friend is included or helping those in need in our community, they are always showing love. Each child created two heart from watercolors and wrote their name and wrote what love means to them on one and their name on the other. Collectively these hearts remind us that, all you need is love. Oh...and they sure are a group of loved kids too!

Our Patroness, Our Thanks: The Rose window image of St. Margaret in the Church is iconic, bright, and welcoming. Mirroring the way the stained glass is put together, 4th graders each took a piece of the window image, colored them with bright, fiery blends and included thoughtful mentions about what they feel they are most thankful for at SMoS. The pieces are then rejoined into one window image and framed for display.

Zentangles: This piece consists of 6 wooden panels on which small groups of children drew their zentangles with Sharpies. The idea was for them to engage in focused attention, patience, and self-compassion as there is no right or wrong way to do zentangles.

Confluence: This piece explores various expressions of "confluence." The students hand-painted pieces of driftwood collected from Missouri riverbanks and discussed the unique geography of St. Louis as a confluence city.
