Saints & Scholars Award Winners

Brian & Marcia Feltes

Marcia and Brian Feltes are our Saints and Scholars Award Recipients for the23rd Annual Lancer Legacy Ball. They are the 14th recipients of this award and very well deserving of it.

Marcia has given 20 years of service to St. Mary School as our Technology Teacher and Coordinator. Her personal commitment to the Extra Math program and providing many a "pizza lunch with Mrs. Feltes" parties for students who passed levels were phenomenally motivating and memorable to students. Her efforts in securing grants and teaching after school programs to bring in necessary funding were instrumental in making the technology program so successful. She introduced St. Mary students to the Dash and Dot robots, Bloxels, 3D printing, Lego stop motion animation and so much more! Our current Technology and STEM program would not be what it is today without Mrs. Feltes' hard work and direction. Mr. Feltes served on the parish finance board for St. Mary for many years and his insurance business has supported our school in various forms as well. In addition, the two of them have generously given many a pool party and Blackhawks watch party as items for our Lancer Legacy Ball over the years.

Brian and Marcia have two children, Drew and Chrissy, who both graduated from St. Mary School. They are now grandparents to two beautiful granddaughters and they are enjoying their time with them as much as possible.

Mrs. Feltes retired from SMS in May of 2020. Our Technology Lab is named after her for her years of service.
