It is one of the first items reflecting our Park Ridge VFW Post 3579 sponsorship, which sponsored The Cavaliers through 7 VFW National Championship titles.

Former Marching Member Bill Linder marched from 1966-1969 and was the only DM in Cavaliers history to accept 3 National Championship trophies, including the double VFW / AL Nationals in 1967 and the American Legion crown in 1969. Bill saw his friend and fellow Drum Major Al Brinker's corps sweater for sale and wanted to immediately donate his jacket to the cause!
