Back-to-School Shopping Spree project
Each year across the nation children start or return to school, and many of these children do so with no school supplies, old clothes and a sense of not fitting in. The annual Kiwanis shopping spree helps local youth to start classes dressed for success. Participating youth receive a free meal, a backpack full of school supplies, and a $100 gift card to Old Navy.

125 youth attended in 2022, which is 40 more than the previous year. Help us reach our goal of supporting 200 youth in the area.

Funds raised during our Elks Rodeo Queen Campaign, help support support this project.

To celebrate our 100 years of community service, the Kiwanis Santa Maria Noontime club is partnering with Allan Hancock College to upcycle and install Community Book Share Boxes in the community.

The students in our Circle K Club at Allan Hancock College and three Key Clubs at Pioneer Valley High School, Santa Maria High School and Santa Maria Recreation & Parks Department are fundraising to support this project and are excited to build these libraries for our community.
