No act of generosity is too small to make a difference.

The Debbie Jackson & Darrell Pridemore Memorial Scholarship Foundation (DJDPMSF) is a local, non-profit scholarship program assisting area high school seniors with their college or trade school education.

The Foundation was started in 1986 by Bunny and Wayne Jackson, in memory of their daughter, Debbie, age 24, who died in 1985 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. In 2005, the Debbie Jackson Memorial Scholarship Foundation, was formed as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

The Jackson family added the Pridemore Family, longtime supporters of the scholarship program, to the Foundation in 2016, following the passing of their brother Darrell from cancer. Darrell also fought a long battle against the dreaded disease for nearly 6 years. Both Debbie and Darrell were big believers in higher education.

Today, both families sit on the DJDPMSF Board of Directors and together have awarded over $150,000 in scholarships over the last 20+ years, ranging from $2000 to $4000 each. The scholarship money has been generated through our successful (and FUN!) annual golf tournament played at various top-shelf courses in Douglas County.
