This is a hand crafted, light (13.3 oz) walking stick created from the seed stalk of a desert agave. The outer skin and seedpods were scraped clean with a knife and then sanded with 150 grit sand papers and then with 220 grit and the final finish was with #0000 steel wool. The top of the crutch is embossed with a piece of southwest Iron Wood, deep dark in color and tough as iron! The stick was then was stained, rubbed again with steel wool, oiled, and then fitted with a standard (replaceable) crutch tip. The winner of this truly southwestern walking stick will travel on many a journey across wilderness or local neighborhood.
