The Buffalo Maritime Center crew looks forward to hosting you (and five of your friends) on a trip down the Buffalo River on the historic C.L. Churchill Tugboat.
The C.L. Churchill was built in 1964 in Cohasset, Massachusetts for Chester L. Churchill, a Massachusetts and Vermont lumber dealer. Originally powered by steam, Churchill was later re-powered with a diesel engine, allowing for much larger cabin space.
The Buffalo Maritime Center is the centerpoint for the revival of the maritime culture that earned Buffalo its identity as the Queen City of the Great Lakes.
