What is Tails and Ales?
Tails & Ales is an annual tasting event hosted by your Lexington Humane Society to raise much-needed funds for the animals. This year, the event will be held at the Hilton Lexington/Downtown from 7 pm - 10 pm with VIP hour starting at 6 pm.
How does the tasting work?
Several tables will be set up throughout the event so you can sample craft brews from our vendors and possibly score some free merch, such as stickers, koozies, and more. Mingle with fellow animal lovers as you make your way around the room, sampling tasty beer, wine, vodka, cider, and non-alcoholic offerings with your handy Tails & Ales tasting glass - which is FREE with registration! There is no limit to the number of times you can visit a vendor/brew station. A list of this year's vendors will be available soon!
What do I wear to the event?
Attire is business casual but feel free to wear what makes you comfortable.
Can I bring my dog or children?
Sorry, personal animals are not permitted at this event. All attendees must be at least 21 years in age or older.
What else will be at the event?
When you walk into the event, you will be greeted by a few LHS animals! They are there to provide kisses, tails wags, and to say thank you for supporting LHS. As you walk around the event, enjoy tasty snacks and music. Who knows, maybe the dance floor will look more inviting after you've had a few. We'd love to see your moves!
Don't forget to stop by our Roomba Pong station to show off the skills you acquired back in the good ol' days. Solo cups are attached to a Roomba vacuum which moves continuously as you try to toss a ping pong ball into the cup. Every score you make enters you for the chance to win a brand new Roomba and it's only $10 to play!
How does the online auction work?
You do not have to attend the event in order to participate in the online auction. Bid on your favorite items to benefit the animals from Wednesday, March 22 through Friday, March 31 at 10 pm! Please note all items must be picked up within 4 months of the event.
What are the perks of being a VIP?
Register as a VIP to receive early access to the event, an awesome Tails and Ales pint glass (in addition to your tasting glass), an event t-shirt, and a tote bag to carry all your swag!
Can I purchase a table for the event?
Yes! You're welcome to purchase a VIP cocktail table that stands approximately 4 people or a VIP seated table that can seat up to 8 guests. By purchasing a table, you will receive all the VIP perks!
