Lynette Lashawn, a Newark native, published visual artist, creative director, educator, style maven and entrepreneur is recognized as a true fashion icon in the City of Newark and in other parts of the world. Most recently she was profiled on Pix11 as Correspondent Ben Aaron visited Off The Hanger and ANÈ Clothier (founded by partner Anita Dickens), a destination where Art, Fashion and Decor collide. Her career spans beyond the clothes Off The Hanger. She has worked for esteemed fashion productions and houses in New York and London. Throughout her journey, she's had the privilege of working alongside "the devil wears prada," Celebrity Designer Dennis Basso and other highly regarded designers. Lashawn has styled clients for magazine covers with celebrity photographers and made a few television cameos on HGTV flea market flip and Verizon. Lynette, and partner Anita Dickens, have been featured in Vogue, New York Times, Budget Travel, United Airlines Hemisphere Magazine and Sheen Magazine. Lynette holds a chair at Newark Downtown District as a communications and stakeholder engagement committee member and actively gives back to the community through business and fashion workshops.
