Tyson Hall is a New York-based artist and classically trained actor born and raised between the Bronx and Harlem. As an actor, Tyson has starred and created memorable performances in starred in "The Wire," "Law and Order," "Godfather of Harlem," "Marvel's Iron Fist," and HBO's "Boardwalk Empire". His most recent role on STARZ' hit show "Raising Kanan", executive produced by Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, garnered critical acclaim. He has also shared the television screen with Award-winning actors Forest Whitaker and Louise Guzman in the hit series "The Godfather of Harlem" as the character "The Vein" which is featured on the Epix network. Hall was most recognized in the indie film titled "The Pimp" where he played Slim and had the opportunity to co-star with the late rapper "DMX" and Aunjanue Ellis. He was born in Washington Heights, New York across the street from the Audubon Ballroom where civil rights leader Malcolm X was murdered. The activist's impact would later influence pieces of Hall's work that echoed his messages of Black unity and the power of Black economics; pieces that were created decades after Malcolm X's untimely death but are still relevant with today's social and political climate. Hall-who came of age in the Bronx during the birth of hip-hop-has also pulled inspiration from the music genre throughout his career. His first art form was graffiti and then he decided to transition his canvases from MTA trains to sketchbooks. Hall was inspired by the political messages behind the music from groups like Public Enemy and how music mogul Sean Combs remixed soulful tracks from legends like James Brown to introduce that era of music to a new generation. He says incorporating the teachings of Black leaders from the past in his artwork to uplift and inspire the next generation of creatives is something that he strives to do through his work. It was the 1996 film Basquiat that drew him closer to the idea of using art as a form of activism.

Lashawn has styled clients for magazine covers with celebrity photographers and made a few television cameos on HGTV flea market flip and Verizon. Lynette, and partner Anita Dickens, have been featured in Vogue, New York Times, Budget Travel, United Airlines Hemisphere Magazine and Sheen Magazine. Lynette holds a chair at Newark Downtown District as a communications and stakeholder engagement committee member and actively gives back to the community through business and fashion workshops. Denise Toney is a multi-disciplinary artist who delves primarily into fiber art using predominantly African, Aboriginal, Dutch, Asian, and other imported fabric as well as domestic textiles. She has been selected for several juried exhibitions at: The Morris Museum - New Jersey's only Smithsonian Affiliate - the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey (solo exhibition: "Behold in Textiles"), Newark Arts Festival, East Orange City Hall, Studio Montclair, West Orange Arts Council, Bloomfield Civic Center, Manufacturers' Artist Village, Art in the Atrium, The Bridge Art Gallery, and i19 Gallery (an exhibition of international artists).

She is in five publications: "On the Easel", Bella Magazine, "The God-S Movement Coloring Journal", "SheEO's Rock! - as a contributing author who appears on the book's front cover - and her quilt is published on the back cover of The Morris Museum's catalog. Denise is the owner of Denise Toney Designs LLC, a full-service creative design company.

My life started in the Bronx. Yes, the Bronx, where street graffiti art and hip hop devoured this artist. I am a 80s baby that witnessed 90s' crises. I drew my first pencil mural at the age of 5 the white, recently painted walls of my bedroom. Most of the time during my early years, it was school, playtime, church, and juvenile times. It seemed overwhelming but I had time to fit everything into my busy schedule.

Then, the teen years came and I witnessed crime, did crime, escaped crime. Most definitely, I am sure glad that I did, because I learned from my mistakes. At every step, I would take art classes or practice my talent in art classes in every school I attended. I was diagnosed with a psych condition later on but it did not deter me from exemplifying greatness in artistry.

One day, I was struck by a city bus, and underwent rehabilitation, but I did not allow that to stop my talent from becoming something more. In high school, I enhanced my gift with sculpting, canvas advancement and different mediums. Later, I graduated with honors and attended Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC). I never gave up and I've finally graduated from BMCC in Summer 2022. I have a beautiful wife Kendra and am the father of daughter, the late Elliott Pelzer and her little sister Darien who is now 3 years old.

I dedicate this piece to them and peace to its future owner - the peace that art has been in my life. I owe it all to perseverance and overcoming adversity.
