This Giving Tuesday we are asking for your help in growing our Artist Opportunity Fund! This Fund supports NIAD Artists engaging meaningfully within their communities- and puts power behind the work our artists create.

$50 - Pays a NIAD artist's stipend for a gallery talk.

$100 - Supports application fees to exhibits beyond the Bay Area, increasing visibility and participation for disabled artists.

$250 - Funds Spanish interpretation fees for one Virtual Artist Talk

$500 - Covers 10 NIAD artists' participation in
The Art of The African Diaspora! Donors at this level will look fashionable in their NIAD Fashion Swag mystery gift.*

$1500 - For covering our annual travel expenses related to our wheelchair accessible mobile art van, we invite donors at this level to pull up to NIAD for a VIP Art Affair for you and 5 friends.*

What is NIAD's Artist Opportunity Fund?

This fund supports our artists' participation in outside exhibitions such as SFMOMA Mini Murals and Richmond Art Center's Art of the African Diaspora. This fund also makes it possible for NIAD Artists to represent their own work in person, including recently at the opening of Follow the String at Marin MOCA and at the SF Art Book Fair.

The Artist Opportunity Fund is feeding art practices, shaping art careers and elevating disability visibility in the art world and beyond.

This Fund helps us blast beyond our own footprint here in Richmond, so that NIAD artists' work can enjoy worldwide engagement.

NIAD's Artist Opportunity Fund supports artist Felicia Griffin, a member of NIAD's Artist Advisory Team for the upcoming Spring 2023 OMCA exhibition. Felicia's participation from the beginning means that this large-scale, survey exhibition collaboration with Creativity Explored and Creative Growth will include her voice and ideas and create ongoing connections between the different progressive studio artists.
