The main level has full-sized bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. One bedroom has a king-sized bed, while the other has two twin beds that can be combined to make a king. The rooms are all professionally decorated with luxurious fabrics that will make you feel right at home. Just outside the bedroom door is a lovely tiled patio that opens out to an additional sundeck that sits over the water.

Upstairs from the main level is the beautifully furnished third bedroom, with an additional set of twin beds, which can also convert to a king. This enclosed loft bedroom provides complete privacy while at the same time providing a spectacular view of the water through large picture windows. The 3 levels of this original home are neatly built into the cliff side of Winding Bay and creates a unique island getaway.

This home is conveniently located within walking distance to the Cliff House restaurant and the infinity-edge pool, and is just steps from the spa, fitness center, and beach.

For families of individuals with autism, it may be difficult to imagine their loved one out in the world going to movie theaters, gyms, grocery stores, sporting events, malls, museums, or performances. The purpose of the Connect to the Community Program is to provide our students and adults the opportunity to learn and practice the social, communication, and behavioral skills that will enable them to successfully enjoy these activities with friends and family. Most importantly every activity helps our students/clients grow in independence, confidence, and self-esteem while they become active participants in society.

Connections Family Resource and Assistance Program

Each family at Connections is unique and has needs different from every other family. Connections primarily serves children and families who not only need education for their child with autism but lack secure housing, food, and mental health resources. The three prongs to the Family Resource and Assistance Program are:

Empower parents to enable their child to function well within the family.
Support the mental health of the family.
Provide resources to meet basic needs.

The services of this program will include individual family counseling, in-home behavior consultation and education, social services to assist in accessing resources in the community, family support groups, and parent educational workshops. Connections will build alliances with other agencies in the community for additional resources.

$500 sponsors access to fresh food for nutrition for a month.

Sponsor 1 student for camp for 1 summer. Unfortunately camp is expensive for our special needs families and the scholarships available have restrictive requirements. $3,200 sponsors one student for 1 whole summer.

Connections Sensory Playground

Connections' current playground space has minimal playground equipment that is aging and in need of replacement. This project will include the renovation of our current playground space and will provide sensory friendly playground equipment. The new playground will provide a wonderful place for getting the appropriate sensory input and practice needed to develop crucial skills. It will be designed to maximize play and support physical, cognitive, and social/emotional learning. It will not only benefit the Connections' students but will be used by their families during many family engagement activities throughout the year. The playground space will be an extension of our current health and wellness activities and will serve as a "learning lab" to teach our students how to play on a playground. We will then be able to generalize the skills learned on our playground to a community playground setting thereby offering our students and their families a successful, inclusive, community experience. It will promote a sense of belonging and a place where everyone come, engage, play, and contribute together.
