The winning bidder will take home two cases of wines donated by members of the Akron Art Museum's board of trustees. Most of these wines are from small producers, giving you a chance to try wines you aren't familiar with - perhaps you will find a new favorite. The lot includes some "everyday" wines, plus many bottles for special occasions. There is also a 15-bottle wine refrigerator - this could fit under a counter in the kitchen or near your bar area, to keep your wines at the perfect drinking temperature, and a lovely wicker picnic basket

Disgorged in 2019, this champagne is showing nicely, exhibiting aromas of orange and yellow orchard fruit. Flavors include orchard fruits and fresh bread. A beautiful, full-bodied wine. 90 Points. 2015 Domaine Jean-Philippe Fichet: Bourgogne Chardonnay. This is 100% Meursault that has an expressive nose with notes of pear and spiced apple. The flavors are fruity with a lingering warm finish. 90 Points. 2009 Domaine Albert Morot: Beaune "Les Teurons" 1er Cru. There is good energy on the nose leading to middleweight flavors. The finish is powerful and very ripe that delivers excellent length. A very stylish Burgundy. 93 Points.
The first Akron Art Museum Wine Auction in 1995 was the brainchild of Michael Oravecz, a museum board member who had a passion for wine. He followed his love for wine, founding a vineyard in the Alexander Valley, north of Healdsburg in Sonoma County in the early 2000s and planting Grenache, Syrah, Carignan, and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. One Week at a 3-Bedroom Condominium on Golfmaster Drive, Shipyard Plantation, Hilton Head Island. This gracious condo has three bedrooms, sleeps six comfortably, plus there is a pull-out couch in the den and an air mattress that could be used for kids. Tickets are $100 each. Maximum 300 tickets available. You must be 18 years of age or older to enter the raffle. Winner will be drawn on June 10, 2023 and notified thereafter. A state issued form of ID is required upon redemption.
ELIGIBILITY: The Raffle is open only to individuals who are of legal age of majority in their jurisdictions of residence (and at least eighteen (18) years of age) at the time of purchase. Akron Art Museum staff and residents within their households, as well as the Akron Art Museum Auction and Board chairs are not eligible to enter or win the Raffle.
